Fluffy! Cloud X Reader: Love is in the air!

Please Cloud?!" You begged. You had always wanted to do something fun and romantic with him, but as always, he told you no. What was that thing you ask? Fenrir. You've always wanted to take a ride on Fenrir. You basically lived off the thrill of anything dangerous. You loved the feeling of adrenaline rushing through your veins whenever danger crept up.

"No, and stop asking me." Cloud pushed you away. He's been doing that an awful lot lately. You often spent your days at the bar, waiting for Cloud to finish his deliveries and just when you thought he was done, he would leave again.

"Im sure he's just tired. Give him time." Is what Tifa would always tell you. But, you didn't want to give him time. You wished Cloud could be more.... Affectionate towards you, and at least give you an hour of his time.

"Why not? I don't understand why we can't do something fun together!" You cried. Cloud sighed, noticing that all of your friends were witnessing the little argument.

"Because I said so. Now drop it." You scoffed and slapped him, earning shocked gasps from everyone in the bar.

"Cloud Strife, you are the worst person to ever walk the earth! I hate you!" You ran out of the bar, hot tears streaming down your face. You paid no mind to the strangers who were wondering what the hell was wrong. You stopped at the train station and cried.

"All i want is for Cloud to give me one night worth remembering. Instead, I'm being pushed away." You saw a shooting star and sighed.

"I wish Cloud could show me the least bit of affection...." You were about to walk away, when a cloud of smoke and dust covered the entire town, making anyone who breathed it in very sleepy.

"What the hell.....? No... Wait...." You stumbled to the ground, falling into a deep slumber.

You awoke to the sun beating down on your face, a look of confusion on your face.

"What happened.....?" You stood up from where you were and looked around you to see everyone hugging and kissing their loved ones. What's going on? Why is everyone acting all lovey dovey? You walked back to the bar,  and was greeted by none other than Cloud! You gasped when he pulled you into a hug.

"Y/n! I'm so glad you're okay! Never leave me again!" Wait what?! He's never said anything like that before!

"Cloud, what has gotten into you? Why are you acting like this?" You let out a squeak when he picked you up bridal style, carrying you into the bar.

"Y/n, there you are! Are you alright?" Tifa hopped over the counter to you.

"I'm fine, but what's up with Cloud?" You gently pushed Cloud off of you when he leaned against you.

"I don't know. He wasn't like this last night, that's for sure. All I know is, a weird cloud of smoke and dust crept in, making all of us fall asleep. We woke up feeling fine, but Cloud woke up all paranoid, wondering where you were." It happened to them too?

"It could be some sort of magic dust. Seeing how it affected Cloud, it might be triggering something in his brain." Vincent added from the corner of the bar.

"He's acting all affectionate towards me, so I guess it isnt so bad. I mean, this is my chance to take advantage of this situation right?" You looked over at Cloud giving you the puppy eyes.

"Just let us know if anything changes. I gotta find out where this magic dust came from, and why." And so, you spent the day hanging out with the merc, and he even took you for a ride on Fenrir! You laughed and smiled the entire time, and nothing changed. That is, until the sun started to set, and Cloud suddenly pulled away in the middle of a make out session.

"Cloud?!" You watched him stand up, a blush creeping up on his pale face.

"What happened Y/n?" You knew you had to tell him everything, and by the time you finished, you burst into tears.

"All I wanted was for you to show me affection, and I figured since you were suddenly acting the way you did, that you would finally give me just that! I enjoyed every single moment of today, and I would do anything just to cuddle with you!" You wailed. Cloud looked away for a moment, then a smile spread across his face.

"I'm sorry beautiful. Don't cry." Cloud laid next to you in his bed, wiping your face with a handkerchief.

"Cloud?! What the hell are you doing?!" You screeched.

"Giving my girl what she deserves, that's all. Is that a problem?" He snuggled in the nape of your neck. You smiled, and ran your hands through his chocobo hair.

"Not at all. Can we stay like this forever?"

"Of course my love. Anything for you."
