Finally! You were now a 2nd class SOLDIER, mentoring under Commander Angeal, who has been training you since day one, and today, all those rough days of training your body and mind have paid off at last! You stood among the crowd of proud cadets, head held high while the General gave a speech about dedication and hard work. You smiled throughout the entire speech. Sephiroth always knew what to say to encourage you and your fellow cadets to work harder.

"Congratulations 2nd class SOLDIERS, and may you continue to work your way to 1st." The three commanders saluted, the rest of you doing the same.

"Cadet L/n!" Angeal caught up with you mere moments after the ranking graduation. You turned and saluted him, standing at attention.

"Commander Hewley!" Angeal smiled. You were always so respective of people at a higher rank.

"No need to be so formal cadet L/n. I think you know better than that, don't you?" He had told you countless times to call you by his first name when you two were alone, and right now, there wasn't a SOLDIER in sight.

"Right. Sorry. Force of habit I guess. So, I guess I should thank you, you know, for always believing in me. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here." Angeal blushed.

"You've earned it Y/n. And if you come with me, I'll say you've earned this as well." You followed him into a room where they kept all the SOLDIER uniforms, and he handed you the outfit of a 2nd class SOLDIER.

"Angeal, are you serious? I thought the 2nd class SOLDIERS got theirs the day after the ceremony."

"Well, I figured you didn't want to wait, so I placed yours to the side for this day only. Try it on, and see how it fits." Angeal stood in place while you got dressed in the nearest restroom, and when you came out, it was crystal clear that Angeal's face was as red as a tomato. Holy mother of Gaia, she's absolutely the most beautiful woman I have ever laid eyes on. I think I love her. Angeal couldn't help but stare with wide eyes at how well fitted the uniform was.

"Wow Y/n, that uniform suits you well. My guess was right on the size." You had a bit of a blush yourself. Angeal has never complimented you like this before, but you liked it. The next few weeks was pure torture for Angeal. Although he kept mentoring you and training you to be a better SOLDIER, he couldn't help but to feel.... Smitten with you. He wanted to be yours so much, but due to the rules regarding Commanders dating their cadets, it was forbidden, and otherwise wrong. He often dreamt of holding your hand and proclaiming his love for you, and he wished you knew what he was thinking.

"Angeal, don't get that girl in trouble. She's too good for you anyways." Sephiroth found out about his love for you when he caught him getting a little too close without you realizing it. The general's words made Angeal distant himself from you, and Sephiroth trained you instead.

"There's something I have to tell you Commander Sephiroth." You had to confide in someone about what you were feeling deep inside, so after class, you decided to speak to Sephiroth alone.

"You have five minutes before my next class comes in." Sephiroth wiped the whiteboard clean, and started writing down the next lesson.

"I know I'll get in trouble, so I need you to keep this a secret from the higher ups. I think I'm in love with Angeal." Sephiroth stopped writing and turned to you.

"Y/n...."

"I know it's crazy, but it's true. He's been there for me since I started, and he's shown me nothing but kindness. I don't care that you know now, I just had to tell someone." Sephiroth raised an eyebrow and sat on his desk.

"I know." Okay, good, cause, what?!!

"Wait.... You know? But how?" Amused by your confusion, he chuckled.

"I've seen that stupid smile on your face when you spar with him. I've seen the way you look into his eyes whenever he has you pinned to the ground. And, I've seen how happy he gets the days he gets to train with you. Y/n, Angeal loves you too, and because I told him that you were too good for him, he has done everything in his power to avoid you." Sephiroth explained.

"Angeal.... Loves me?" You whispered, and before you could say anything else, a crowd of 3rd class cadets came chattering in the room, and you left him to teach his class, not noticing Sephiroth giving you an approving nod. You walked around the entire building, searching for Angeal, but he was nowhere to be found. When the day ended, you went to the address Sephiroth had slipped into your pocket and stopped in front of a small house. It was quiet, but for night time, it was to be expected. You gently knocked on the door, and a woman who looked just like Angeal answered.

"Yes, can I help you?" You cleared your throat and told her everything. "I see. Come in, dear. He talks a lot about you, and it's about time you returned your feelings. Angeal honey, can you come down for a second?" The woman told you she was his mother, and how depressed Angeal has been lately. Moments later, you heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs, and Angeal gasped upon seeing you.

"Mom, what is she doing here?" He stared down at his shoes, clearly embarrassed.

"Angeal, she came to see you, so I suggest you two sit down and talk things out. I'll be in my room if you need me." His mom whispered something to him, and left you two alone.

"Y/n.... I'm sorry for avoiding you... I thought that if I did so, you would forget about me." He sat down on the couch in the living room, and you followed him, sitting next to him.

"Angeal.... Is it true that you have feelings for me? Sephiroth told me, but only because I told him that I had feelings for you." Angeal looked deep into your eyes.

"Y/n, I admire you so much. You are the best thing to ever come into my life. I want to be with you, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to risk it all with you." You leaned in and kissed his supple cheek, causing yet another blush to creep up.

"I'm ready whenever you are Angeal." You shared a deep, but yet sweet kiss, and Angeal showed you a whole different side of him that even his mother didn't know about.
