Vincent x Reader: It's Me, Remember?!

So, my brain is fucking fried from trying to finish that last chapter, but that won't stop me from doing this one shot! 😫😫😫 this was requested by divergent_spn61, so please, for the love of god, enjoy this!!! Also, may contain sadness and a little bit of lemon, if that's okay with you.

Shit, where is he?!! You ran around frantically, searching through the pile of rubble for him. He can't be dead! He promised to be back for you!! Your mind raced back to when he first saved you from Nero, who had engulfed you in his shadow magic.

"This can't be how I die....." You looked at your surroundings. Nothing but darkness kept you company. Were you already going insane? You were hearing voices.

"Y/n!" You thought you heard Vincent's voice, but you weren't sure. The crack in the bubble was starting to get bigger the more you thought about it.

"Y/n!!!!" You closed your eyes for a split second, feeling a pair of arms wrap around you....

Then the memory of him making his promise to you......

"Vincent, please don't go! Please don't face Omega alone!" You chased him down before he turned to his demon form.

"Y/n, go back to the others. I have to do this." You hugged his waist, crying.

"I don't want to lose you! Vincent I love you so much! And I fear Chaos will make you forget about me!" He tilted your head up to look at him.

"I won't forget you Y/n. And if I do, I want you to make sure I remember. Now go back to the others. I'll come back for you once Omega is done, I promise..." He caressed your cheek softly before slowly letting go and leaving you there. You finally went back to the others, who were just wrapping up their fights. They all looked up, all eyes on Vincent, who was now in his Chaos form.

"VINCENT!!!!" You all yelled in unison, cheering on the gunman, fists in the air. Vincent was the only one who could stop Omega, and he had to do it alone. You watched as Lucrecia gave the protomateria back to him, and the fight alone was intense...... Oh Vincent..... Win this fight....... For me..... For us.....

"Vincent!!!" You kicked through the pile of rubble, tears filling your eyes. You hissed at the sudden pain you felt in your right leg. The adrenaline from the blast must've hidden the feeling. You fell in the rubble, finding a large gash running across your leg. Shit......

"Damnit!!! Vincent!!!" You wished he was here to bandage it and kiss it better. Your breath hitched when you heard footsteps.... Steps that you were too familiar with. Vincent! You looked up from your wound to see Vincent staring down at you. But.... It wasn't Vincent. He would've picked you up and carried you to safety by now. This wasn't him. Wait...... Chaos......... You were able to see what was going on inside his head, and what you saw was horrible! Vincent was trying to get back to his normal self, but Chaos had his arm.

"Chaos stop! We had a deal! Y/n needs me!" Vincent struggled against his demon's death grip.

"No way! I helped you save the world! It's my turn to get what I want!" Chaos gripped his arm harder.

"Don't you dare hurt her! Y/n!" It was Vincent's turn to cry out for you. And man, did it break your heart. You had to be strong. For him. Time to face Chaos in the face.

You stood up slowly, advancing towards him. Chaos had his eye on you ever since Vincent met you. You weren't about to let Chaos make Vincent forget his promise to you. You raised your arm up to touch him, and Chaos snarled, baring his teeth to take a chunk out of your flesh. You quickly pulled your hand back. It was your blood he wanted.

"You want me Chaos? Come on then." You didn't care if your leg was leaking blood. You ran as if your life depended on it. You didn't have a plan. Only action. Chaos was hot on your tail, arm outstretched to grab you. You quickly used a healing materia to heal your leg, and at the same time, Chaos had tackled you to the ground, growling in your face, his eyes staring into your soul. When you looked deeper, Vincent was at this point desperate to take you. He secretly loved your boldness, and even a set of chains wasn't going to hold him back. Even though Chaos had a tight hold on him, Vincent refused to give up. Whispering an apology, you kicked Chaos off of you and now sat on top of his chest, hands laced into his as tight as you were able.

"Vincent, it's me, Y/n! Remember?! I'll make you fucking remember!" You bashed your lips into his without thinking, and even tongued him a little. Vincent soon was able to break free and return the kiss. He wrapped his arms around you, and that's when you knew he was back.

"Y/n......." He groaned into your ear.

"Vincent..... I told you I'd make you remember......" You pulled away, the both of you gasping for air.

"I love you Y/n." He stood up with you in his arms, and cradled you.

"I love you too Vincent." You nuzzled into his neck.

"Now that's what I call a reunion!!" Yuffie whistled and cheered, watching you from afar. Let's just say, you weren't the only one who was blushing.
