You laid in bed for several days at a time, wishing sleep would overtake. But like always, it didn't. And to make matters worse, you were starting to hear voices telling you to end it all. You had no one in your life as far as relationships go, and friends? Tch, forget it. You lost them all when you fell into your depression. You shut them all out anyways, so it didn't matter anymore. The light in your room slightly dimmed the room, and you were starting to crumble beneath yourself. Why did you have to feel this way? So tired, so helpless, and so....... Alone......

"Come on, Y/n, get yourself together! Go out and do something! Just don't go to a bar and drink yourself stupid!" You slapped yourself and got dressed, only to be disappointed in yourself. You stood in front of a bar called Seventh Heaven, its toxic liquor luring you in. You put on your hood, masking your already tired face, unaware that someone had his eyes on you.

"Hi! What can I get you?!" The bar owner beamed, her smile making you mentally gag. How could anyone be so happy?

"Something strong, and bitter." You watched her nod as she poured contents of alcohol and mixers into a glass.

"There you go! Anything else?" You downed the strong drink with ease, sliding it back her way.

"Just give me another round." You suddenly felt a pair of eyes stare at you, so you looked over at a man standing in the corner, arms crossed and his crimson eyes memorizing every part of you. You had to admit, he was cute. No, he was perfect. Tall, quiet, and just well... Perfect. Only thing is, he seems like the kind of guy who broods over his past, while at the same time, reject anyone who happens to fall in love with him. You sighed, drinking almost all night. It seemed to drown away all your problems, except one: the mysterious man in red. He was way out of your league, and there was no fucking way you had a chance with him.

"I'm sorry, but I can't serve you another drink. You're already intoxicated as it is. Please pay your tab and leave." The bar owner pleaded. You groaned, throwing some gill towards her.

"Whatever. I'll just go home and drink the bottle of vodka in my cabinet. The drinks here suck anyways." You grumbled, tumbling out of the bar. And not even seconds after leaving the bar, you felt and heard someone following closely behind. You turned to see HIM staring at you, making sure you were just enough to go home safely.

"What?! Huh?! What's your problem dude?!" He looked away.

"Oh, my apologies Miss. I, I didn't mean to startle you or make you feel unsafe. I couldn't help but to notice you back there, and with how drunk you are, I thought I'd offer you a ride home." You were taken aback by how deep his voice was. It made him more attractive now. The full moon shined on both of you, and revealed the real beauty in his orbs. You sighed, embarrassed by your outburst at a man who was just trying to help.

"I'm sorry...... You don't want to get involved with someone like me..... All I'll do is act-"

"Cold?" He finished your sentence for you, as if he knew exactly what you were going to say.

"Yeah.... Anyways, I appreciate the offer, but trust me, you don't want to help me... I can't be helped..... Goodbye..." You turned around to leave, but he stopped you.

"Wait. At least let me take you home. There are too many monsters and thugs out there that'll tear you apart." You turned to glance at him, and noticed he had his arm extended out for you, and the first thing that caught your eye was his gauntlet. It looked pretty menacing, and it could easily tear you apart.

"You're not gonna hurt me with that, are you?" The man shook his head, and it put your mind at ease.

"Okay. I trust you." You took his hand, and in a flash, you were quickly held on to, the scent of this man intoxicating. Not even minutes later, he releases you in front of your apartment. He stepped away from you, giving you space.

"Stay safe..." He sounded sad to even leave you.

"Wait.... What's your name?" All you wanted was company, and this man was who you needed.

"Vincent. I'm sorry, I really need to go. Sleep well." In a drunk frenzy, you wrapped your arms around his torso.

"Please don't leave... I.... I just want someone to sleep with.... Nothing explicit.... Just someone to cuddle with...." He blushed, and cleared his throat. Not wanting to upset you even more, he agreed, and you let him in, inviting him to sit on the couch. You grabbed a huge blanket, and took a spot right next to him.

"Vincent..... That's a nice name..... Oh, you must forgive me. My name is Y/n. I'm sorry for not speaking it sooner." You laid your head on his shoulder.

"Y/n.... That's a pretty name. May i ask you something?" You blushed at the compliment. You have never felt like this before, and you had to admit, it felt nice.

"Sure. Anything."

"Why did you come to the bar if your intentions were to get drunk?" You sighed, and looked up at him.

"Its the only way my problems would go away. Its the only way the voices could stop. I've been stuck in bed for so long, and i figured going out would help. Now its my turn for questions. Why did you help me? I am nothing but a loner who'll probably stay alone forever." He could sense the sorrow in your tone. Should he try to make a move? It was no secret he had fallen for you, and your life's graces.

"I, I don't know. But, I do know that you're never alone. Y/n, you need to know that the reason I helped you is because of how drawn I felt to you. May I?" You found yourself leaning in to kiss him, and for the first time, you weren't alone. This man who had done nothing but bring you home made you feel..... Good.
