Jealous! Genesis x Reader: Y/n is Mine

Y/n was first among the group of girls that joined SOLDIER. She was also brave, smart, and extremely beautiful. All the men who joined followed her around, worshipping her like some sort of goddess. After she and her fellow SOLDIERS got settled, they met up in the training hall, where they were going to be assigned 1st class SOLDIERS to help push them a little more. You straightened out the wrinkles in your 3rd class SOLDIER outfit and stood at attention. All of you were separated, so there were only 10 of you each on opposite sides of the building. Your eyes fell to the door opening, and you watched as a man walked in, his eyes glued to a book he held in his hand. After a few moments, he marked his place in the book, and set it down, observing his trainees.

"So, these are the trainees Sephiroth was telling me about? Hmph, of course he would get the good ones." He mumbled, then addressed you.

"You. What is your name?" You looked straight into his eyes.

"Sir! F/n L/n sir!" The man hummed in response.

"Allow me to introduce myself! My name is Commander Genesis! Address me as such, and I think we're going to get along just fine! Now, quietly talk amgonst yourselves." He sat down in the nearest chair and begun reading his book. While the others were chatting about how weird the commander was, you stood out above the rest. You took that time to stretch and prep for any training. Genesis looked up from his book, and found himself daydreaming about you. You weren't like the other cadets. In fact, you were.... Different. You actually took being a SOLDIER seriously.

"A person's hobbies often tells a lot about them." He gasped when he saw you in front of him. God she was so beautiful.... It was like there was a goddess in front of him.

"What on earth do you mean?" He rolled his eyes as you sat down next to him. You giggled and leaned in close to point to the book.

"You like to read. Which means that you're very knowledgeable and when you talk, it's like you're reciting a poem in your own words." Can she be any more accurate?!

"Do you even know what I'm reading? If not, please go away and talk to someone who cares." He said rather coldly. You stood up, and sighed.

"Infinite in mystery, is the gift of the Goddess. We seek it thus, and take to the sky. Ripples form on the water's surface, the wandering soul knows no rest." You shocked him with your words.

"So you do know. How many times have you read it?" He arose from where he was and approached you.

"One too many times. I was even in theater my freshman year." You smiled brightly. This girl... She's probably the smartest cadet here. Genesis would do anything to keep you. Just then, the General walks in with one of his cadets.

"It seems as if there's been some sort of mix up." Genesis scoffed at the perfect man that was his friend.

"I suppose that means what?" The General ordered the cadet that walked in with him to join the others and smiled.

"It means that Miss Y/n is supposed to be my trainee. Come with me." Genesis stopped you from obeying.

"Sephiroth, a word." Once the two were alone, Genesis snarled. " you can't just take her from me whenever you feel like it. I can finally have someone to read Loveless with." Sephiroth chuckled.

"If you have any issues with this at all, talk to director Lazard. I'm sure he'll tell you why he's putting the girl into my care. Now, I have some SOLDIERS to train. Miss L/n, let's go." You hesitated, but you obeyed him, taking one last passing glance at Genesis before leaving with Sephiroth. The next few months and counting was torture for Genesis. As best as he tried to take his mind off of you, he couldn't. He was in love with you. He didn't deny it when Director Lazard asked him about it that same day.

"Because of your love for her, we placed her in Sephiroth's care. We cannot have you or Miss Y/n distracted during training."

Ugh!!! He hated feeling this way! Everywhere he went, he saw men crowding you, offering you gifts just because, and Sephiroth having to step in to shoo them away. Eventually, things got so bad, that Genesis decided that enough was enough. He was going to have you. He saw you in the training room the day after the 2nd class SOLDIER ceremony, training with Sephiroth. He watched from the one way window as you dodged, flipped, and taunted your opponent.

"You let your guard down again." Sephiroth managed to beat you, and laughed as he realized he had you pinned to the floor with his hands holding yours.

"Sephiroth....... I.... I have a confession to make......" You let him help you up, and you sighed, a gleam of sadness hinted in your eyes.

"I......" Before you could say another word, Genesis stormed in. He didn't want to hear what you had to say.

"Y/n, before you confess your love for Sephiroth, I just want you to know that I love you. I always have. The moment you walked into the room the first day, I knew that deep within my heart, that I couldn't live my life without you." Sephiroth stepped back.

"I told you he was going to let it out sooner or later."

"Wait, you weren't going to tell Sephiroth how you feel?" Genesis asked. You shook your head.

"Him and I already told each other that I see him as a really good friend. I was going to say that I can't wait anymore for you to come and tell me your love is true, but I'm glad you came." You jumped into his arms.

"Im glad I did too. I love you Y/n.." He kissed you gently, and a spark flew during thar romantic moment. Sephiroth smiled.

"I won't tell Lazard, as long as you treat this girl right Genesis."
