Cloud x Reader: Come on

Okay, although this is a Cloud x reader chapter, it'll start out as a Vincent x reader, since you'll be dating him🥺 grab some tissues, and hold on tight to your pillow or whatever is closest to you, and prepare for an emotional roller coaster!! Vincent. You couldn't take your mind off of him. He was all you could think about, and who can blame you? He was 6 feet tall and super strong, and you always got along. Alright, you met him at a bar, your friend Tifa's bar, where you had no idea she knew him too. Vincent was the one who approached you, offering to buy you a drink, and of course you said yes cause who wouldn't with that deep voice? And ever since, you were by his side. However, you were unaware he was using you to try to get over Lucrecia. They say love is blind, and it's true. You couldn't see his behavior change before your very eyes, but do you know who could? Cloud Strife. He tried to warn you and help you prepare for the worst, but as in love as you were, you shrugged it off as Cloud being jealous. One day, Vincent disappeared, not even bothering to call, text, or even send you a letter. Even the others were worried. He was acting just fine the day before, and now he leaves without saying anything? Cloud told you where he might be, and drove you there, a cave glowing in mako crystals.

"Vincent?" Your voice echoed off the cave's walls. Cloud stood behind you, wanting to go with you.

"Wait here. And you're sure he's here?" Cloud nodded. "I'll be waiting with Fenrir outside. Just shout if you need me." Cloud watched with a broken heart as you stepped further into the cave. You stopped dead in your tracks, covering your mouth to conceal a whimper. There he was, the love of your life was sitting in front of a crystalized mako enclosure, staring up at a woman with long brunette hair, and a white dress covering her marvelous body. Who was this woman?

"Vincent, what's going on?" You finally spoke up, and Vincent stood to face this broken girl.

"Y/n.... I.... I'm sorry.... I only used you.... To try to move on from her... But I can't. I'm done with you." He said, barely looking you in the eye. Your heart shattered into a million pieces. You tore off the promise ring he had given you and threw it straight at the woman resting peacefully.

"You used me....? The others were right about you! All you do is loathe in your own sins, forgetting that I was there to help you forget! I opened myself to you, and this is the thanks I get?! I was so vulnerable around you, but only because I loved you, but I guess I realized what we had really was! Fuck you Vincent Valentine, and good luck atoning for your sins once again!" You took one last look at him before sprinting out of the cave.

"Hey Y/n, did you- ah!" Cloud watched you running out of the cave, and then engulf him in a hug, sobbing against his chest.

"You were right Cloud! I'm so sorry I didn't listen to you sooner! He used me to get over her!" He sighed, and let you go.

"Come on, I'm taking you home." You nodded, and sat behind him on his bike, not even taking a second glance back as he drove away from the cave.

Five months have passed since your tragic break up with the gunman, and you still hadn't seen or heard from him, but who cares? He broke your heart and used you like you meant nothing to him. The months that seemed to fly were certainly rough, to say the least. You refused to talk to anyone, except for Cloud, who comforted you every step of the way. I guess you can say you were starting to fall for him. He was just so kind, funny, and well, hot. One day, he confessed his love for you in the bar, and just when you were going to return his feelings, can you guess who showed up to ruin it? That's right everyone. Vincent. You heard the metal clanking of his sabatons on the wood floor, and you were shocked to say the least when he showed up with flowers in his hand. Cloud got in between you two, aiming his buster sword at his own friend.

"Back off. Haven't you done enough to her?" Vincent sighed, cocking his gun at Cloud.

"I just came to talk. It's her decision Cloud, so stop trying to fight her battles. Y/n, listen to me. I'm sorry. I hurt you badly, and you didn't deserve it. I want you to give me another chance, if you're willing." You got in the middle of both men, making both lower their weapons.

"You're too late Vincent. She was about to tell me that she loves me,isn't that right, Y/n?" Shit. How the hell did you get yourself into this mess?

"Uh, I.." Was all you could manage.

"Y/n, come back to me. I'll treat you like a queen." Vincent extended his gloved hand out to you.

"Y/n, I may not treat you like a queen, but I'll treat you like you're the only girl in the world. Choose me." Cloud extended his hand out to you. You got so frustrated, you snapped.

"That's enough, the both of you! Whoever I choose, the other has to stay friends with the other, plus myself!" You took a deep breath, taking a glance at both men.

"Vincent, you're a good man, but I'm choosing Cloud. I hope we can all be friends still." Vincent smiled faintly, and nodded, watching as you wrapped your arms around Cloud, kissing him with passion, something that you haven't felt in a long time.
