in recent interview with e! news, lex arenando-porter, 21 opens her home in colorado to talk about a new stage in her life: motherhood.
lex who is best known in the world as a social media influencer, the younger sister of baseball giants nolan ana jonah arenado, and wife of michael porter jr but now takes on the role of being the mother of her one month old daughter, sienna. the pair welcomed their first child together in last month after waiting for her arrival for what lex tells as forever.
"she was scheduled to be due around mid january," she began, "i was almost forty-five weeks pregnant when she finally decided to grace this world. she knew how to make everyone wait."
lex and mike met when she was 18 thanks to her best friend and now sister in law, haylee arenado. three years later, the pair now tackle on parenthood while also tackling their jobs, "i'm so thankful for mike. he's so good with sienna. he's truly a natural." lex shares that that mpj and their daughter have their own morning routine, "he wakes up an hour earlier than he has to just to spend his mornings with her."
she also opens up about gaining weight and whether she's worried about snapping back, "while i was pregnant that was one of my biggest concerns. i gained a little over sixty pounds, but that's not one of my main concerns anymore. i've lost a lot the weight after birth and i'm losing weight due to breast feeding, so we'll see." she smiled, "it's latin tradition to wear a waist trainer after the first forty days after birth. i'm not sure how much i believe in it but i can't say no to my grandmas who swore by so i'll you know after the forty days are up!" lex also spoke that she knows that her body won't ever be back to what it was pre-baby, "and i'm totally okay with it."
so what can she tell us about her daughter?
"she's such a calm baby." she smiled, "sleeps through most of the nights which is a blessing, but when she's hungry? she will make sure to let you know. she sure knows how to grab attention."
so who does she look like?
"mike." she said with the roll to her eyes, "my mother in law saved on of his first onesies when he was born and we put her in it the other day. his spitting image. i gave birth to my husband."

sienna was the best part of lex and mike. though mike had been in and out of the house from game to game, the nights and days that mike was home he tried to get in as much time with his daughter. lex watched as she came back with a cup of coffee in her hand as sienna laid on mike's chest, her chubby cheeks pressed up against him.
mike's family was suppose to come in later today, and wanted to help lex around the house, "daddy's girl." smiled as they flipped through the channels in their room.
mike smiled, as he looked down at his daughter that was a little too comfortable on his chest, his large hand running up and down her tiny back, "how was she last night?" mike asked as she had gotten back around midnight from his game in charlotte.
lex tried to put sienna in a sleeping schedule and they were on week two of working on it. so far they had gotten to the point where she still woke up more than she needed to, "we are still working on this schedule, she's getting the hang of it though. i read somewhere that if you keep her awake more in the morning it'll be easier for her to sleep at night. so im trying to figure that out."
but by the looks of it, sienna had no thought or will power to keep awake today. she was knocked out instantly in mike's hold. something about being the hands of her daddy that sienna found instant comfort in, her big green eyes staring at him. the green eyes that remind him of that of her mother, and mike knew he was screw.
cierra poked her head in, a smile on her lips as she watched mike and sienna laying on the bed together, lex in their bathroom as she finished cleaning up for the day, "it's such a sight for my sore eyes." she smiled as mike opened his eyes to look at his smiling older sister before looking down at his daughter, "where's lex?" she asked as mike pointed to the master bathroom. cierra nodded walking into lex scrubbing one of the sinks in the bathrooms, "does super mommy ever rest?" she asked as lex looked up her hair in a messy bun as she was dressed in a pair of athletic shorts and one of mike's t-shirt.
"i decided that if i clean up today mike won't send the cleaning lady and the chef tomorrow to do the work for me." she smiled as she rinsed and dried the sink before walking closer to cierra as she smiled softly, "her name is carmen and trust me she's amazing and great but it doesn't feel right to have her come in when i can do it."
"and i'm sure mike's argument is that he doesn't want you to feel overwhelmed." cierra joked knowing how caring and he would always find away to make sure lex and sienna were healthy, "i get the chef because of the requirements he has to meet for his diet but sometimes i have to beg carmen to leave early because i feel so bad."
