"three baby showers?" jonah asked as lex hummed in response her very swollen belly being the centered staged, "why three?" he asked as lex pushed herself up from the couch, feeling all her blood rush to her legs.

picking up her water from the coffee table at her mothers house she looked at her brother. it wasn't up to her. cierra was gladly planning her first baby shower as the birth of their daughter would be the first porter grandchild, "because i'm pretty fucking special." she retorted, "i get one from my sister in laws and mom and lisa." she smiled.

there was no question that the birth of lex's daughter in january was more than expected. as the baby of the family, everyone was all over her. excited and over the moon that their baby girl was going to be a mother. as the woman who was carrying the first porter grandchild, there was this certain sense of overjoy in that family, "you're a pretty special brat, is what you are." jonah retorted as lex narrowed his eyes at him almost challenging him to do something else because even though she was pregnant. a walking whale like she liked to call herself as she was heavier than what meg was and what haylee was with twins. closer to forty pounds overweight, lex felt swollen all over. her stomach sometimes making it impossible to breathe.

"and this is why you won't be baby girls god father." she hissed out making jonah shoot his head up. because he was so sure him and haylee would be the godparents, "you heard me right fatass." she spoke again, crossing her arms over her chest.

"what?" he screeched out as his eyes searched to see any mischief but he couldn't find any, "you can't be serious? haylee!"
he finally yelled out as lex rolled her eyes.

there was no debate. mike and lex had both decided as soon as they found out they were expecting who their daughter's godparents and jonah and haylee weren't anywhere near close to being candidates, "what?" haylee poked her head out, her blue eyes landing on lex and jonah.

"she just said we won't be baby i'd godparents." he whined as haylee widened her eyes. it was almost what everyone expected to happen just because haylee was lex's best friend, "can you believe that?"

"what? lex! you can't be petty just because you aren't the twins godmother!" haylee whined, "i thought-"

"umm no?" lex shook her head obviously not caring about being the twins godmother, "i just don't want you guys to be."

"but why?" jonah asked.

"because i don't find you fit to be my daughters godparents? and because i don't want you to be? it's pretty self-explanatory." she expressed as she watched mike come back with cousy and august jo, "we already had decided and i'm happy with our choice." she smiled as jonah looked at her sister sadly almost positive that it would be nolan and laura.

"i'm hurt." he expressed as lex shrugged.

she owed nothing to jonah or haylee. she simply didn't want them to be her daughters grandparents and they should respect her decision, "you hurt your own self making up scenarios before double checking." she shrugged.

haylee stayed quiet. thought she was hurt. she understood. she didn't want to force lex and mike to pick them just because of what they wanted. obviously they had thought long and hard about this because they weren't the ones to make haste decisions especially now that it came to their daughter, "who did y'all choose then?" she asked as mike came in the living room as well and day next to lex.

"who choose what?" he questioned as he brought lex closer to him.

"godparents for baby p." she mused as mike nodded, "we chose nolan and laura and bri and reece."

"of course." jonah muttered as he got up and angrily walked away annoying lex with his reaction.

"okay you weirdo." she shouted after him as she pushed herself up, struggling to do so but with mike's help she was on her feet chasing after jonah, "you can't be upset over who i fucking chose to be my child's godparents!" she hissed out as everyone in the house  heard her angry wrath, "you think you're entitled? well reality check! it's my daughter and i get to choose what i think is best for her!"
