I didn't say I was gonna get pregnant again!
"Hey, remember when you broke your spine?" Paige asked as she walked around Haylee and Jonah's kitchen.
"Unfortunately I do. What made you think of that?" Haylee turned around from the stove.
"I was just looking at you and Jonah next to each other. He's over a whole foot taller than you, Hayls. Sam was only 7 inches taller," Paige explained, "just surprises me that Sam managed to break your back, but Jonah hasn't."
"Wow thanks a lot for the vote of confidence, Paige," Jonah rolled his eyes, "I brought Lex to the hospital when that happened, so I try my hardest to not recreate the situation," Jonah said resting his arm on top of Haylee's head.
"Oh my god, really, Jo?" She frowned as Paige laughed.
"I love you," he picked her up and kissed her forehead.
"I love you too," she smiled.
"Remember in Twilight when the Nessie broke Bella's spine? Surprised that wasn't you with the twins," Paige said.
"Oh my god, do you want my spine to break again?" Haylee looked over her shoulder at Paige from her place on the island.
"Let's not do that," Jonah shook his head.
"I think you don't need anymore margaritas," Haylee shook her head.
"Oh come on. Don't get sensitive. You can't tell me you haven't thought about these things before," Paige rolled her eyes.
"I can honestly say I haven't," Haylee said, "Jo?"
"I actively think about not breaking you. Seeing you in the hospital like that and then subsequently in a wheelchair hurt me," Jonah said.
"See!"
"Not wanting to put me in a wheelchair and thinking about how Bella's spine broke in half because she was having a half vampire hybrid baby are very different!" Haylee rolled her eyes at her sister in law, "Jo, don't let her have any drinks at the stadium."
"Will do. I'll have Mom and Dad help too," he chuckled and kissed her cheek, "I'll finish getting dinner ready so you can go get changed for the game."
"Thank you," Haylee smiled and kissed him before hopping off the counter and going upstairs.
