"you said you were done eating hamburgers, five hamburgers ago." laura looked at lex as she added her toppings to her sixth hamburger of the night.
haylee looked up from her phone, eyeing as lex stuffed her face with another big bite of the burger, "you were just telling me you have to fit into the bikini for next week." haylee began cautiously knowing that mike and lex were suppose to go to the bahamas that week following.
raising her hand to silence her sister in laws, lex swallowed her bite before clearing her throat to speak up, "let a sister eat in peace!" she whined, swirling her drink before taking a sip, "if my dad is gonna make his cookout i'm gonna feast." lex added.
"you were just complaining about gaining five pounds since april." haylee added making lex narrow her eyes. maybe she was getting a little too thick at this point. she was up to almost ten pounds from her normal weight since april, but she wasn't going to tell anyone that, "alexia."
lex shook her head. she was eating good. she was happy and maybe it was odd to see her body like this but she wasn't complaining. everyone around her had notice how all of sudden she was filling out even more, "well thank god for high waisted bikinis and american eagle jeans." she retorted as they rolled her eyes, "so leave me alone."
meg watched lex as she returned her attention back to her plate. her eyes eyeing the plate of the fruit pizza, "apparently she's doing the pregnancy diet with you guys." she teased making haylee giggle.
"you guys are bullies!" lex whined as she pouted, "let me be fat in peace. mike still likes me."
haylee snorted. lex could be as fat as a whale and mike would think she's heaven sent, "mike thinks your sent from heaven or some shit." haylee shook her head, "that man only has heart eyes for you."
"well he better!" lex cried as she finished off her burger, "i'm the fucking best."
"anyways," haylee changed the subject, "how's your bestie?" she asked making lex roll her eyes at the mention of suzanne.
"that bitch invited herself to the bahamas!" lex rolled her eyes after she had specifically told her fiancé that she didn't want to see suzanne's ugly face on their last trip of the summer, "and this time she won't come back alive."
"she invited herself?" meg asked as laura was still trying to process how someone could just let themselves be walked all over? it was so obvious mike was not the same fourteen year old suzanne had dated. in fact he was almost twenty-three and more than happy with the woman he was engaged to, "you're kidding?"
lex wished she was. but nope. suzanne just said she would be isaiah's plus one after no one had bothered to invite her, "no, we are leaving to go back home and she's like see you guys at the bahamas."
"oh, she's doing to die." laura shook her head knowing that it was a matter before lex grew tired of being the bigger person and ended suzanne.
