"you're going back to colorado?" cousy asked as lex washed the paint off her hands before turning to look at her brother, "those are some words i never expected to hear from you anytime soon." he shrugged as they went back outside where meg and august jo were moving their paintings out of the way so they could dry.
"i just figured since we're getting married soon, i might as well." she shrugged, "it's not a big deal."
"it's not, but i just figured you would move back to colorado after college." he shrugged, "or mike's contract would take him somewhere else." stunned wasn't the word that could describe cousy's reaction. never would he have thought that his sister would just one day get up and decide that she needed to move back to colorado, "what did mom say?" he asked as lex locked her phone and placed it down.
"she was sad to have me further away again but she said that it was time mike and i get a taste of living together before the wedding." she smiled, "i'm happy to be with him, i'm really excited to be moving in with him."
what she wanted to say was that she was excited to get started on the nursery because there was no time to spare anymore, but cousy didn't have to know just yet.
