"I really want to know what you're having," Lex bounced on her toes.
"Us too, squirt," Jonah squeezed her shoulder.
"The party I have planned is amazing!"
"I'm sure it is," Haylee mused.
They were at her 20 week appointment. Haylee couldn't believe how fast five months had flown by. She was finally over her all day sickness, as Jonah had been calling it. Haylee was so grateful that Lex and Millie had been around so much since Jonah had started playing again. She really missed him when he was gone.
"I'm glad you're in town for this," Haylee whispered.
"Me too, Hayls," he kissed her forehead.
There was a knock on the door as Dr. Kohler entered, "hello hello! How are you doing?"
"Good thank you!" Haylee smiled.
"Has your morning sickness gone away?"
"Thankfully yes!"
"Thank god!" Lex rolled her eyes, "every time she threw up, I almost did too!"
"Lovely," Jonah rolled his eyes.
"Well I'm glad you're done with that. Also, I heard you got married! Congratulations!"
"Thank you so much," Jonah grinned, "we had a baby moon, wedding, and honeymoon all at the same time."
"That's the way to do it," Dr. Kohler smiled, "okay! Let's get a look at baby Arenado!"
Haylee rolled up her shirt and grabbed Jonah's hand. She smiled as he leaned down and kissed her quickly. She hugged his arm as Dr. Kohler found their baby.
"There's your baby! Still bigger than we would expect to see at this point of a pregnancy, but Baby A looks perfectly healthy. And the heartbeat is nice and strong!"
"Can you tell the gender?" Millie asked.
"I sure can," Dr. Kohler grinned, "I will tell you after Haylee and Jonah leave."
"Yay!" Lex clapped her hands, "the gender reveal party is next week!"
"I'm sure it'll be grand," Dr. Kohler smiled, "I'll see you in 4 weeks."
"Thank you," Haylee smiled as Jonah helped her sit up.
Haylee and Jonah left the room and went out to the receptionist to set up her next appointment. Haylee zipped up her jacket and hugged Jonah. He wrapped his arm around her as they walked to the car. Jonah helped her into the passenger's seat.
"Can you believe I'm halfway through my pregnancy?" Haylee looked at Jonah.
"Nope. It feels like it's going by so fast," he kissed her hand, "I can't wait to meet baby Arenado!"
"I know right," Haylee smiled.
"We should start thinking about the nursery after the party next week," Jonah said thoughtfully.
"I agree," she nodded as the back doors opened.
Haylee smiled at Lex and Millie as they got into the car. Lex and Millie wore identical grins. Lex was practically bouncing with excitement.
"We know something you don't" the youngest Arenado taunted in a sing-song voice.
"It be like that sometimes," Haylee laughed, "can't wait for next week! Can't wait to find out if it's baby girl Arenado or baby boy Arenado!"
