"is it an arenado gene not to show emotion?" haylee asked as she looked at lex. jonah snapped his head around, his attention diverting from the grill to the back of haylee and lex's head from the lounge chair.
lex bit on the metal straw from the cup that contained her tropical smoothie, "i don't wanna hear another word from you, bitch." lex groaned. that's all haylee has been nagging lex about how lex couldn't show emotion, "my emotional range is not of a rock."
"you're just pregnant." jonah piped up as he flipped the burgers on the grill earning a glare from his pregnant girlfriend.
haylee scoffed. in all her years knowing the arenados, she couldn't help but notice how the children lack to show emotions. it wasn't that millie and fernando weren't loving. they were so loving and loved their children and never failed to show it. but truth be told nolan and lex sometimes lack showing their emotions. their reactions stale even if their hearts could be bursting from happiness. but anger and annoyance was always such an evident trait. if haylee wanted to know what lex was thinking sometimes all she did was to look at her face. she would sometimes tease her that lex didn't need to hold her tongue back, it was her face that told her all. at the same time, she wouldn't show anything on her face. the famous resting bitch face taking over.
"i think the most i've gotten from lex since we weve been friends was after her breakup with cole and in the hospital." haylee added making lex roll her eyes, "you lack emotion."
"you are emotions." lex retorted making haylee flip her off only for lex to reach in the air pretending to catch it and place her hand on her heart, "you are the rainbows and sunshine of this friendship and i'm the bitch, what's new."
"you can go back to college!" haylee yelled after lex as she went back into the house.
stopping between the doorway, "and you're gonna be lonely and depressed while jonah is away and guess who's gonna have to hear it? lex raised and eyebrow, "me. so i rather hear it in person than have you call me every thirty minutes." she yelled back as she disappeared into their home only to come back with a bag of doritos that she planned to eat by herself.
haylee wasn't going to deny that with her pregnancy she would have a free time on her hands and paige and lex would be the ones appointed to head about it, "i'm not saying you're wrong but you still need to go back at some point." haylee added back making jonah yell back that he agreed.
"most of my classes i can do online anyways." lex retorted as she stuffed a handful of doritos in her mouth, "and this whole social media influencer thing gives a lot of money. i can just do that." she shrugged making jonah turn around and give his sister a look that haylee had only seen millie do when gave her children good earful.
"you are going to finish college." he hissed out making lex burst into laugher, "and you are not gonna use the fact that you make money off a youtube and instagram not to fucking finish school."
"you see that." lex smirked pointing at how red jonah had become. a bemused smile on her lips as she enjoyed pushing her brothers buttons only to see their reactions, "of course i'm finishing college, dumbass. i just like to see your reaction."
"you literally are the spawn of satan." haylee shook her head a smile as she saw lex shrug with a cocky smile on her lips.
