"I'm here!" Jonah burst through the door."Jo!" Haylee grinned and held her arms out to him.
Jonah ran over and hugged her tightly. She buried her face in the crook of his neck. He kissed the top of her head and rubbed her back. He pulled away and carefully laid down next to her.
"I'm sorry I wasn't here," Jonah whispered.
"It's okay. It's not your fault," she mumbled cuddling into his chest.
"I'm guessing they know what this is?"
"Mhm. False labour. Braxton hicks contractions," Haylee closed her eyes.
"But Baby Boy is okay?" He confirmed.
"He's perfect," Millie said.
"Oh good. Thanks for taking care of them."
"Of course."
Haylee held on to Jonah tightly. She was glad he was back. Her doctor wanted her to stay the night just to monitor everything. She was incredibly grateful that the contractions had stopped. She was hoping she'd be able to get some sleep that night.
"You were playing really well," she mumbled into his chest.
"Hm? Sorry."
"You were doing really well before you left," Haylee repeated looking up at him.
"Oh thanks. You and baby boy are more important though," he smiled rubbing her cheek.
"We love you."
Haylee cuddled back into his arms and closed her eyes. She listened as Jonah talked with Megan, Millie, and Paige. She felt better that he was there with her. Haylee hugged him a little closer. Haylee kissed his jaw and held on to him tightly.
"Did you guys let everyone know that it was false labour?" Jonah asked.
"Everyone, but my parents. I'll ask Dillon to tell them," she mumbled.
"Nando, Cousy, and August are on their way up anyways. Just wanna see you," Megan said.
"Dillon caught the first plane he could after I told him," Paige added.
Haylee smiled and laid her head on Jonah's chest and gently traced over the tattoos on his arms. She then pushed her hands under his shirt and over his toned chest. She heard him softly laughing.
"Stop it!" She whined.
"It's cute," he laughed again.
"Now I'm embarrassed," she mumbled taking her hands out from under his shirt.
"Don't be," he laughed.
"Well I am!"
"Jonah, did you drive here or did you get a ride?"
"I drove my car. It was back at the airport."
"Okay. Just wanted to make sure," Millie rubbed Haylee's back, "you two get as much sleep as you can."
