As usual, Damian left us to go dance with some half-naked girl. Sometimes, I really worry that he will end up like Josh. At least he isn’t doing this while he has a girlfriend, like Josh did. Ava told me not to worry about him and we danced together for about two hours. The night was going by fast.

“Lacey! What is up? You have been out of it this whole trip, not yourself. Tell me,” Ava asked me worriedly, after she pulled me through the crowds into the surprisingly nice bathroom. It must be because we’re in the VIP lounge…

“Lacey! Hello?” Ava knocked on my head.

“Sorry, I have just been thinking a lot, you know? Maybe I shouldn’t have come out tonight.” I reasoned with Ava, along with myself.

“What’s the matter? Did something happen with Harry?” She questioned and then I realized something. I never told her about our breakup and reunion that happened last night. I only told Zayn. That’s the second time I substituted him for my best friend. Face it, Zayn is your best friend.

“Well, we broke up yesterday.”

“Aw honey, are you okay?” Ava flashed me a sympathetic frown. She gently hugged me and I continued before she could speak.

“But then we got back together again.” Once I finished the whole thought, she immediately pushed me off.

“What? Why?” She raised her voice, and I saw her frown – not out of sympathy but from irritation.

“It’s nothing. It’s not even what I have been thinking about.” I changed the subject. Harry’s and my situation was utterly confusing to me and I didn’t feel like trying to explain to her when I didn’t really understand last night.

“What were you thinking about?” Ava continued to interrogate me as a mother would. It was annoying at times, but I loved her for it because I knew she cared about me like a mother, for I didn’t have one. And we all know Sandra didn’t really count, she was more of a demon.

“Well, Ivy and Zayn went on their first date tonight and, I don’t know…” I trailed off, trying to make the subject sound unimportant. But Ava caught on to me.

“Lacey…” Ava warned, yet I could see her physically trying to hide a cute smirk. “Why were you thinking about Zayn’s date?”

“Be-because, I knew Liam must be hurting . You know, because he really liked Ivy.” That sounds convincing. What are you really hiding from her? My conscience was right; I’m not hiding anything from Ava.

“Mhm, bullshit.” Ava dramatically nodded when she clearly didn’t believe. What a sarcastic little girl.

“Look, are we going to stay in the bathroom all night talking about my feelings or are we going to go out there and dance and have fun? I already know my answer.” I explained and Ava looked at me in confusion.

“Wait, I don’t remember bringing up your feelings. What do they have to do with Zayn?” She smiled slyly and I rolled my eyes at her, making her chuckle.

Before I could correct her foolish thinking, a drop-dead beautiful blonde, tall woman walked in as her heels clicked on the bathroom floor. She looked as if she was about 5’10” without heels, but also very familiar. She disregarded the two of us and paid attention to her phone. Panicking to not look suspicious, Ava and I turned on the sinks we were at to imitate washing hands. She took the sink between us and pulled out a makeup bag. Leaning over the sink to where the familiar woman was no longer blocking Ava’s view of my face, I motioned with my head for us to head out of the bathroom door. Furiously, Ava shook her in head ‘no’ in response and pressed her pointer to her ear. She was eavesdropping on the woman’s conversation.
