Chapter 4

It had been about a week since I told Kagami not to talk to me. I had a sinking feeling in my stomach and felt dizzy. Taking a look at Kagami's chair I realized he wasn't there. Maybe that was a good thing. Just then *BAM* someone had slammed my stuff onto the floor. I looked up to see it was Bethany and her new boyfriend. 'Looks like she didn't get Kagami' I thought to myself. "Maybe if you were paying attention you would have seen we were coming." Bethany scoffed. Her boyfriend slung his arm around her "Don't you go giving my girl problems, understand bitch." These names didn't even phase me at this point. I looked at him with a weak, scared smile the nodded my head slowly. I bent down to pick up my stuff and I saw that something big was flying towards my stomach. This wouldn't have been the first time someone beat me up in school. Tightening my muscles I braced for impact. Nothing came. Instead I saw an arm in front of me which had stopped the kick. It was... Kagami!? I looked at him in shock. "Hey hey." He said "watch were you swing that leg of yours. You almost hit Nova." Kagami stretched his hand out and helped me up. Bethany looked PISSED as she stomped away with her boyfriend chasing after. "Th-thank you." I said quietly. Kagami heard me and looked at me. "Hey can we have a talk?" He asked. 'Oh great.' I thought 'he probably knows all about me now and hates me. He's just gonna leave me like everyone else does.' "Sure." I replied hesitantly.

The bell rung and we walked out side of the classroom. Here I thought he was gonna talk about all the rumors he's heard about me, but he didn't. Instead he asked "Are you doing anything later today?" A faint shade of pink danced its way to his face. "Hmm nope, nothing. Why?" I asked back. "Well I was wondering if you'd like to hang out." He seemed nervous about asking this. I didn't want to reject him but I knew it wouldn't be good on his reputation to be seen with me. "Listen Kagami," I started taking "I would love too. But like I said before you really shouldn't socialize with me..." My voice started to trail off as I fought back tears. "I know Nova, but I don't care." I was shocked by his response. "So I'll meet you at my locker later. We're gonna hang out and you will like it!" He said and walked away smiling. I was left all alone again with nothing but my thoughts. However I didn't feel as alone as I usually do. My heart felt a little better, like it was being mended. I had a new found skip in my step at the thought of hanging out with Kagami.

I know my chapters are kinda short. Here's the problem though, I type one big long chapter and then it's too long. So then I cut it up into smaller chapters so that they are more manageable to read. Hope you're all liking the story so far! \^.^/
