Chapter 28

Morning came around and I found myself in my house. Today was my last day here and then I'd live with Ms.Carter. I walked out of my room, or tried to at least. Turns out Kagami was here again. I don't mind him staying here but I'm better now so he should go check on his apartment.

He pulled me down as I tried to stand up.
"Nooooo~" he whined like a little child. "Kagami." I said in a tone as if I were talking to a dog.
With that he let go and let me get my stuff.

I packed up only the things I needed to keep, only things that couldn't be replaced. I'm sure that the government would give some money to help me move other things into Ms.Carters house. The problem with that was she hasn't turned in the paper work yet. Hopefully she'll get to that soon. I really just want to move in with her already.

I walked over to a small shelf I had in my room. From it I grabbed some of my most prized possessions. I took my Aunts diamond necklace, one that she always wore. It was a silver necklace with a large diamond pendant and smaller diamonds on either side of it. I loved the way all the gems sparkled.

I also grabbed my Uncles old baseball cap. It was a bright red hat with a white star in the front center. He wore it on casual days, like when we went to the zoo or a park. It always sat comfortably on his black hair and tanned face. Picking those up brought back memories but I tried to remember how happy I was with them and not try an think about how they're gone.

Kagami finally rolled out of bed and sauntered over. "Need any help packing?" He mumbled in his cute morning voice. "No I'm good. Well maybe later, I don't know." "If you need anything let me know. I'm gonna go make breakfast. So fucking hungry." He grabbed his grumbling stomach. "You're always hungry, you know that?" I smiled and chuckled. "Yeah yeah I know. Come on!" With that he pulled my hand and dragged me into the kitchen, then proceeded to make breakfast.

"Thank god it's the weekend!" I said happily while stretching my arms out. "After we have breakfast I might do some more packing. Everything I want to have needs to be in Ms.Carters house by tomorrow morning. The moving company will do the rest." Kagami flipped a golden pancake and responded "sounds good."

After breakfast Kagami asked "Is there anything you wanna do today?"
Hmmm I don't know. I mean I have to move and stuff, but it is the weekend... "Oh I know! I wanna meet all your basketball friends! You have a practice game today right? Against... Oh who was it? Ummm..." "Tōō." He said the name of the team. "Yeah that's it!"

He let out a sigh. "What? You don't want me to come?" I said with a bit of sadness. "No it's just that... Well there's a guy on that team who is my rival and-" I cut him off "The dude who gave you those nice shoes?" "Yes, that's him." "Oh now I really wanna come! I wanna see who can rival you."

I ran over and hugged his arm. "Wh-what are you doing?" He blushed. I continued to hug his arm but now I was jumping "Come on it'll be fun!"
"Hmmmm fine. You can come I guess." He finally gave in. "Yay! Well let's get ready then. Isn't the practice at 12?" I pointed to the clock. "Oh shit it's 11:30! We gotta move it." Kagami said and ran around the house trying to get ready.
