Chapter 16

I had fallen asleep in my bed with Kagami. His arms wrapped around me, holding me tightly. He was so warm and gentle. When he slept his whole demeanor changed. He went from being a big, strong, upright teen to a gentle, relaxed kid. He looked so cute!

I had known Kagami for around 2-ish months but it seemed like forever. After just that short amount of time we were dating. Me? Dating someone? I never thought this would happen, but it did, and I'm glad.

Kagami woke up and looked at me. My eyes were wide open and I had been awake for a while. "Good morning sleepy." I said. "Ugh what time is it." "Well I see you're a morning person." I said in a sarcastic tone which made him grunt in annoyance. "It's 6:00am. We got to get ready for school baka." He pulled me down so that my back was pressing against his chest, and he then wrapped his arms around my waist. "I just wanna stay here with you."

I sighed. I did love to be with Kagami and I hated school... No Nova get up and go! "Kagamiiii~ we have to get up." "Fine, fine." He let me go and we both started to get ready. I changed into a short sleeve crop top with a lace trim, some dark navy jeans, and black flip flops. Kagami wore a red sport shirt, black basketball shorts and his basketball shoes.
"Where did you get those shoes?" I asked him since I'd never seen them before. "Oh I got them from my fri-... From a guy named Aomine." I giggled seeing as how he didn't want to call this 'guy' his friend. "So your friend Aomine, who is he." He mumbled "he's not my friend we are rivals." I nudged him in the side "You two must be pretty close since those are nice shoes. It's ok to have your rival be your friend." I winked at him. "WE ARENT FRIENDS!" He didn't yell it was just more of an agitated voice. "Fine who is this ' rival' Aomine." " He plays on a basketball team we played against. He's probably the strongest guy I've faced. But one day I'll beat him since he is a GoM and I'll crush them all." He was so determined to achieve his dream of being the best, I couldn't help but smile.

Then we opened the door and I was snapped back into reality. The reality of school. Ohhhh boy. My day was going great so far, and then school. School why do you ruin everything ever? I hung my head low because I didn't want to go to hell/prison (aka school). Kagami looked me and picked my head back up. Before I could reacted he pushed his lips against mine. Once again the sweet sensation took over and I felt weak. I kissed him back with just as much gentleness. Kagami may look like a big scary giant, but really he was the kindest giant on earth. We held hands and walked to school. For once in my life I felt ok and safe. I thought to myself 'let's see how long this safety lasts.'
