Kagami My Hero (Kagami X OC)

Chapter 7

I slowly opened my eyes and my head started pounding. I let out a moan in pain. My face felt broken and my body felt numb. Where was I? I wasn't at home. I scanned my surrounding until I made eye contact with the red-head giant. Kagami!? Kagami was sitting in a chair next to my bed. His face seemed to be in pain. I couldn't make out what he was saying but his mouth was moving. He made eye contact with me and seemed to perk up. Then his facial expression changed again. He appeared to be yelling something but I couldn't hear him. My ears slowly got more in tune with my surroundings and I could barley make out what Kagami was saying. "Nova!... Hear... I... Worried..." He was talking so much and so quickly that I couldn't process it. I picked up little bits and pieces, it sounded like he had worried about me.

"I'm sorry." My voice came out very weakly. "It seems I caused you pain..." "Nova." " I told you not to socialize with me. Now I've caused pain for many people. I'm better of alone. Something's are just meant to be." I told him. He paused and collected his words "Like you and I..." He said very faintly, but I heard it. I could feel my face flush to a dark crimson color. "I-I mean! Um..." He stuttered. Haha. Kagami's always been that way. Wait what am I talking about I've known the guy for... "Hey Kagami how long was I out?" "Two days." He face looked serious but in closer inspection it was tried. "Did you stay here the whole time!?" I asked very nervous that he hadn't slept and waited for me. "Yeah." He put his hand on the back of his neck and shrugged. "Bakagami! You need to sleep now!" I ordered him.

"Ok." He said. He immediately pushed me over and hopped into my hospital bed. "Wh-what are you doing?" I asked him as my checks danced with a pink hue. "You said I needed to rest but I can't leave you. So I'm gonna stay with you." He looked serious and confused. I threw a pillow at him. "BAKAGAMI!" He caught the pillow but fell out of the bed and chuckled. I winced in pain and my shoulder felt like it was being stabbed by needles. "Hey hey. Take it easy." He placed the pillow back to where it had been before.

Then a doctor came in. "Well Ms.Nova you seem a little better." The doctor smiled and got things ready for my check up. He had some assistance come to help me get up and stand. I had cuts and bruises all over my body. I could tell that bones had been broken from the amount of pain I was in. I had to remove my shirt so the doctor could see how my broken ribs where doing. More cuts and bruises ran across my chest. "Hmm they seem infected." He was about to touch one if the cuts when Kagami raised his fist.

Kagami's perspective~
I don't know why I said that stupid stuff earlier. Did I have feelings for Nova? A doctor walked in and asked me to go home and rest. I refused. I promised Nova I wouldn't leave. So I pulled up a chair and sat. He had brought some other doctor people in the room to help Nova stand. I didn't like that they were touching her. I wanted their grubby hands off of her. Then the doctor asked Nova to remove her shirt. I understand he has to make sure she's ok but he was taking his time and I soon got annoyed. He was more like checking her out then making sure she's ok. I raised my fist from behind him and it was about to come crashing down on his stupid little skull. Then I felt a hand on my fist and a face nuzzled in my chest. "WAIT!" It was Nova. She had stopped me from hitting the doctor. I wanted to beat the ever living crap out of him. But why? Nova wasn't my girlfriend so why did I get so angry when he was looking at her.

Nova's perspective~
Kagami had almost punched the doctor. "It's ok." I reassured him. The fire of rage that was once in his eyes faded as he relaxed his muscles. He sulked his head low and the doctor made a run for it. Now they had a female doctor check on me. Which was A LOT more comfortable, and Kagami seemed ok with it too. "I didn't like him looking at you like that." He said shyly. "You're a pain you know that?" I told him. He looked up at me. "First you talk to me when I tell you not to, then you almost punch the doctor who's taking care of me." A smile soon spread across my face and I laughed a little. "S-sorry." He apologized. "No it's fine. I guess I can't stop you from being my friend... Plus it is nice to have one..." My heart sank a little. I knew in my heart that I had a crush on Kagami, but I had him as a friend and I didn't want to lose that.
