Chapter 17

Kagami Perspective~
I walked into school while still holding Nova's. As she saw all the people looking at us her grip got tighter.
"You'll be fine. I'm right here." I pecked her check with a kiss which made her hold my hand even tighter. Girls stared at her as we walked down the halls. I was done with this. No more depressed, sad Nova. I tugged her arm, opened the storage door and dragged her in. I closed the door behind me and gave Nova a hug. "Listen. Whatever you're thinking just stop it. I love you and that's all that matters. Those girls are missing out because you're such an amazing, kind, sweet, funny, beautiful person. At the end of the day just don't give a fuck about what they say. Ok?" She looked up at me with tears of happiness in her eyes. Her eyes shinned with the glossy moisture covering them and they looked beautiful. I blushed as she smiled at me and said "Thank you Kagami. I love you." I bent down and have her a kiss. We parted as the pre-bell rang meaning we had to get to class.

Nova's perspective~
After the reassuring talk with Kagami I felt like nothing could ruin my mood. But oh god the world would never let me off this kindly. Nope. As I walked out guess who was there. Just take a guess... BETHANY! Not only was she standing there but she snapped a picture of Kagami and I walking out of the storage room. 'Oh shit.' I thought to myself. "Oh what's this I have here? Did Nova and Kagami just walk out of a room together? Holding hands and everything?" As the photo came out of her Polaroid camera she waved it to make the picture appear. The picture was of Kagami in front of me holding my hand as I started to walk out of the room.

Bethany took a look at the picture. "Well I wonder what people would assume if they saw this picture? I mean we are teenagers, most of us are immature. Right, slut?" She winked at me. I can only imagine what she was thinking. She'd probably use the picture as leverage incase Kagami did something, like save me again. It's not like Kagami and I actually did anything in the storage room, but with this photo it sure as hell looked like it.

Even when I had found happiness Bethany still had to be there to ruin me. Just let me have my boyfriend god damn it. A single tear slid its way down my face. Kagami looked at me, then Bethany and the picture, then back to me. A fire of hatred burned behind his red eyes. He let go of my hand and stomped his way over to Bethany. He put one hand on either side of her so that she was trapped. "You know I feel like you should let me see that picture." He sneered. "Hmmm no. I don't feel like it." Her tone of voice was so irritating and high pitched I swear it could break a window. He slammed his right hand back against the locker. "I don't think I made myself clear enough. Give me the picture." Bethany was still in shock from the loud thud Kagami's hand had made. Catching her off guard he took the picture and ripped it into a million little pieces. "Tch. Who even brings their Polaroid to school?" He snapped at Bethany.

Kagami grabbed my arm and we walked off to Ms.Carter's class, leaving Bethany to stand by herself in silence.
