Kagami My Hero (Kagami X OC)

Chapter 6

Kagami's perspective~
I heard loud, evil laughing sounds echoing through that hallways. I turned the corner to get to my locker when I saw three dudes. Something was huddled and shaking below them as they kicked. Looking closer I realized it was Nova! There was blood on the floor and a dent in the near by locker. 'Oh no... What have I done!' I had made Nova wait for me, it's all my fault. Emotions took control and I soon came charging towards the guys. "WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING! GET AWAY FROM HER!" Out of the corner of my eye I saw Bethany standing a little ways back. She had the smile of the devil plastered on her face. Clearly she was enjoying Nova's pain. I grabbed one of the boys shoulders and spun him around. I was about to punch him when I heard a faint sound come from beneath me. Nova was in a pool of blood on the floor. She was crying and huddled up shaking violently. "K-ka-ga-mii..."

Nova~
I saw Kagami towering above me. Through my blurry vision I could barley make out his expression, he was concerned. I felt something warm on my chest as I was being picked up off the floor. I slowly said his name before being enveloped into darkness.

Back to Kagami~
Her voice trailed off and her eyes closed. "NOVA!" I shoved the guy out of the way. No matter how much I wanted to beat the shit out of him I had to help Nova first. I shot all of them a death stare and they ran off. I gently picked up Nova into my arms. She was cold and wet from her own blood. Cuts and bruises were all over her body. She had taken a heavy beating, all because I made her wait at MY locker, MY LOCKER! If I didn't force her to hang out with me then this wouldn't have happened.

I couldn't think about that anymore. Nova needed treatment and fast. Without thinking I dropped my bag and ran to the hospital with Nova in my arms. Even if she was unconscious she was still shaking, blood was trickling everywhere and her breaths became more shallow. After running for 3 miles I made it to the hospital. A nurse immediately spotted Nova and I. "Quick! Get a stretcher! This girl needs medical assistance ASAP!" The nurse shouted. A bunch of medical people came out with a stretcher, tubes, tanks and ton of crazy medical equipment. I hesitated a little bit to just let Nova go with them. I didn't want to leave her. As a doctor stuck out his hand to take Nova I pulled her a bit closer to my chest. "C'mon son. We're professionals and we'll help her." I knew he was right so laid Nova down on the stretcher. As soon as I did they got an oxygen mask on her and started their medical work.

I didn't know if I was allowed to or not but I followed them all the way to a room where they put Nova. They got her to a stable state as I waited outside of the room. "Hello. And you are?" One of the doctors asked. "Oh I'm Kagami." "Mr.Kagami, are you related to Nova?" "Ah well..." I hesitated but if I didn't come up with someway to be related to her they wouldn't let me in "I'm her boyfriend." "Ok well could you please come in." I let out a small sigh 'phew that was close.' I thought. I walked into her room and saw Nova laying on her bed. She wasn't unconscious anymore, but she was sleeping. "She's in a stable state now. You can stay for a while. If she wakes up you can talk with her. If something starts happening please call for us." The doctor left me and I pulled up a chair to sit next to Nova. I looked at her face, it was bruised and had a bandage on her cheek. She slowly breathed in and out at a steady pace which made me feel better. I gave a small chuckle 'she looks kinda cute like this.' What was I thinking!? I've only known the girl for a week! I blushed at my own thoughts.

I sat there for two days. Waiting, occasionally drifting to sleep and then waking up, only to wait some more. Then Nova slowly started to open her eyes.
