Sam's POV:

Before I know it, the day turns into the late evening and soon we start to make the final preparations for the bus to Chicago. My bus isn't that big, seeing as for the whole tour it would only be me staying on the bus along with my bus driver, but now we have to fit me, my bus driver, and three messy brothers on my bus. I have two bunks, a small bed in the back, and a couch up front so we should be fine.

"Sammy!" I hear Connor yell from downstairs. I head into the hallway and to the top of the stairs.

"Yeah?" I ask.

"Were gonna get going now."

"Okay, one sec. Let me grab something." I walk back to my room and sit on my bed. This is probably the last time I'm going to see this room. This house. This family together. From here on out, I have no idea when I will see any of them again.

I look to my nightstand and see a small, thin bracelet beside the alram clock. I pick it up and recognize it as Toby's. I've seen him wear it multiple times and he must have just forgotten it here when he took it off.

I slip the bracelet on my wrist and grab my jacket from the chair at the desk. Walking to the door, I turn around and look around the room one more time. I make sure I don't forget anything, but as I do, I get one last glimpse of my second home.

I step out and closing the door behind me, I let a breath out. I'm sad to leave. I really am. But I'm also just as eager to get home. But once I'm there, that means there will be no reason for them to stay with me anymore.

I walk down the hallway slowly and pass by each one of their doors, looking into their rooms to get a picture to remember. At the stairs I shake off all that I have been thinking and skip down.

At the bottom I meet Connor who has just walked in from the front door followed by Toby. Joan comes in from the kitchen with Riley behind her. There's a few seconds of silence. I guess no one really knows what to say.

"Well," Joan finally says, "I guess you all should get going then. Be safe, and as soon as you can get connection call me. I don't know if it will work or not but keep trying. I don't want to have to worry any more than I am."

"Mom we'll be fine. We always have." Riley says stepping closer to his mom giving her a hug.

"Now you, my girl," she says looking at me, "you keep these boys out of trouble. I don't know what they do half of the time." She steps toward me and wraps her arms around me. I do too and I hold on to what seems to me as my second mother.

"We'll be fine I promise." I say softly next to her ear.

"You of course be careful too. I hope everything's okay with your family and everything. And if you ever need anything, don't hesitate to ask." She let's go, and from an arms length away, I can see her eyes begin to water.

She blinks them away and turns to Connor, giving him and then Toby a tight squeeze and then letting them go. "Now go before I decide to make you stay." She says with a half smile.

We all turn towards the door and I follow Connor, Riley and Joan out the door and into the silent dark night while Toby walks next to me. His hand brushes mine twice before his fingers softly entwine with mine. His touch gives me butterflies and the chills run up my arm. Which then reminds me...

"Wait." Everyone stops and looks at me. I notice all of them at least once looks at our hands together. "Do you guys have coats? Its gonna be cold."

"How cold? Its only Chicago." Connor says.

"Obviously you have never experienced a winter in Chicago then. Thirty below zero wind chill. You Florida boys are gonna freeze your butts off." I say.
