Chapter 13

Sam's POV:

After we arrive at the venue in Miami, we discuss with Before You Exits producer and Gary about the show tonight. After the show, there's going to be a meet and greet on their bus where fans get to hang with the guys and I for awhile and take photos.

During soundcheck, we run through the scheduled show until we all get it down. We sing a couple of songs to keep our voice in check and I play my guitar and piano for a couple of minutes.

At 11:30 were released to do whatever until the show that starts at 4. Right now I'm super nervous about tonight and I can't get my mind off of it.

"Sam? You okay?" Toby asks. Were sitting backstage in the venue waiting for Gary to come out of another meeting and I guess I spaced out. "Hmm??" I pop my head up.

Toby gives me a small and soft smile and says,"Sam, your going to be fine. We've all seen you perform and from what we've seen, we can tell the crowd loves you and you love what your doing." He rubs my leg a little them moves his hand away.

"I know I do... Its just this time its different. Back home everybody knew me and they felt like it was their job to cheer me on and keep me going. But now I don't know anyone here and the crowd has no idea what to expect from a girl who came out of no where "

"Don't even try to say that," Riley says."you are an amazing singer and no one was lying when they said you were great back home."

"And believe me, the fans will love you. They are very supportive of whoever is on stage with us. Its kind of like when Toby first joined the band. He just came out of no where and now everyone loves him!" Connor says laughing. "I mean look at him, he's adorable!!" Connor pinches Toby's cheeks.

Toby swipes Connor away before saying, "Anyway, just enjoy yourself out there. It won't be too hard once you get used to it. It didn't take long for me."

"Okay we'll discuss after the show." I hear as the office door opens and Gary comes out shutting it behind him. "Okay everything's set. We just need a good show to kick off the tour! You've got this guys, and Sam." They should just start to include me in the "guys" phrase...

"Oh and Sam, I need to discuss something with you. After the show? No wait you can't, you've got that meet and greet." Gary says.

"We can talk now Gary, we aren't doing anything." I say. Gary takes in a deep breath and let's it out slowly. "Okay. Let's go to your bus then."

"Okay. I'll see you guys later then." I say and follow Gary out. I hope it isn't anything bad... He kinda looked stressed...

Toby's POV:

After Sam leaves with Gary, me and my brothers hang out for awhile until she gets back, planning on grabbing something to eat. When she gets back, she doesn't seem like her normal cheery self. I shake it off thinking that her nervousness is getting to her.

We decide to grab lunch at a small outdoor restaurant along the beach. After we order we kind of just sit there in an awkward silence. Sam is sitting next to me and Connor and Riley are across. She keeps looking around like shes expecting something but she eventually locks her eyes on the ocean view. She hasn't said a word since we ordered.

I lock eyes with Connor and raise my eyebrows while motioning toward Sam. He shrugs his shoulders and motions for me to ask. So I do.

"Anything wrong Sam?" She doesn't answer me. She keeps her eyes locked on the view deep in thought. "Sam?"
