Sam's POV:

The days drag on slowly and yet at the same time they fly by my mind. Things change everyday, and when I get used to them, they change the next.

We've given up on taking those precautions that we held so tight to before. Now we don't all sleep on the second floor of the house. I sleep with Toby in my room, one hundred percent alone for the first time in weeks, Connor sleeps on the couch in Andrews room, Rhian sleeps in her room alone, and Riley and Grace sleep in the guest room.

Yeah, they're a thing, they just don't come out and say it. And just like anybody, we "make fun" and "tease them" about it, half of the time backfiring on me and Toby, but at least we embrace it. I think were finally getting to the realization that we won't be there anymore for each other , physically at least, in the pending days.

We all are. We've gotten to the point where some nights we just sit in the living room together, me with Toby, Riley and Grace, Andrew and Rhian, and then Connor and my dog, which is adorable. We sit and remember, starting each conversation with 'remember when..'

And I realize now that those are the conversations that life is meant to hold. Because in order to have those, you need to think back on everything you've done, good and bad, and you learn to live with it. Because that's a part of who you are. Its a part of what happened in your story.

"Remember when Sam pushed you in the pool?" Connor asks Riley. We all laugh at the memory, Andrew and Rhian and Grace laughing at the thought.

"Remember when Toby was so starstruck when Sam stood there in her bikini?" Riley said in defense.

"Excuse me, but I do believe that it was you, and Connor, who were starstruck. Not to say I wasn't Sam." Toby says winking at me. "By the way, how dare you look at my girlfriend like that!" He wraps a protective arm around me.

"She was not at the time!" Connor says. "And anyway, can't Sam decide if she wants a compliment from me? Like maybe that she looked great in that bikini. In fact she looked beautiful."

"Thank you Connor!" I say looking happily surprised. I look at Toby and look pleased.

"You looked beautiful. You look beautiful now. You look beautiful all day everyday. Believe me not him." Toby tells me begging.

"Aaawwwhhhh!!!"

"Omg I'm gonna cry!"

"Get a room."

I laugh at my friends remarks but wrap my arm around his neck smiling and blushing a little. I would kiss him, but I'm still not comfortable doing that around my friends and family.

"God guys can't you take a guy making a girl happy. Sheesh." I say rolling my eyes.

And it goes on and on and on like that through the day and into night. We never get interrupted by my parents. They know our days are winding down. But one day my mom does, and I know some things up from the start.

"Sorry, but there's something on the news. Andrew you wanna turn on the TV?" She must've already heard, because when Andrew turns the channel to the news, she walks out of the room.

"-ve captured all 89 terrorists responsible for these bombings. Government officials have reasserted laws broken by this event and have reinstated that all public and government owned businesses open again in the next few days. This includes, restaurants, parks, bus and train stations, privately owned businesses, airports, hospitals, and stores.
