Rhians POV:
Early in the afternoon, the sun is bright yet the cold winter surrounds me. I've been inside for weeks. Usually I would be okay with it since most of the time I read, but lately that's all I've been doing. And I'm getting bored.
I kind of wanted to go to Indiana with my parents to see how my grandparents are doing, but they insisted I stay here and "keep watch", whatever that means.
My brother Andrew got home from college a couple of days ago. I guess it was so bad down there that they sent the students home for safety reasons and they can't come back until they are told to.
So me and my brother have been hanging around for what seems like years. I don't mind spending time with him, seeing that he's always busy with school and before he went to college we weren't that close. So I guess this brings us closer.
I think the one thing we talk about the most is Sam. We don't know where she is. I know were both very proud of her for what she's accomplished so far, but we still wish she didn't leave when she did. Because then she would be at home with us, where we would all be safe.
But I found she was safe when she called for the first time a few days ago. I only talked to her for less than a minute, but hearing her voice was relieving. And when she told me she was coming home, that's all I could think about.
In fact I was thinking about it when I was up in my room on my bed just staring at the cieling when my dog started barking. She's been doing that a lot lately, ever since my parents left. Everyone's been on edge. So when she does bark I don't think about it.
But when she continues and doesn't stop, I get up to see what the problem is. But it isn't a problem, its my solution.
I look out the back window from upstairs to see two teenage boys standing in the back yard. Two boys I couldn't mistake for anyone else.
When I found out my sister was going on tour with a band called Before You Exit, I made sure to do my research. And with that, I recognize the two figures as Riley and Connor.
I run downstairs and run to the basement door. "Andrew! She's here!" Then I grab my boots and quickly slip them on and grab a light jacket. My brother meets me at the back door.

Connor's POV:
Sam and Toby leave Riley and I at the back door to wait for them to return with a key. I don't know which one I'd rather do. Wait and freeze to death or walk in snow and freeze to death.
But my wish of a warm heated house is granted when the door behind us swings open making Riley and I jump. In the doorway stands what has to be Sam's sister, Rhian, and behind her a taller guy who has the same features as her.
Riley and I kind of just stand there unsure of what to do. I mean we don't know these people, except that they're related to Sam, and we have no idea where we are.
The girl opens the screen door and a large black dog crawls through and bounds toward us. For a second I think of running, but then I realize the dog loves me already. I know, most people do...
She steps out of the doorway and steps onto the stoop. "Hi. You guys must be Riley and Connor. I'm Rhian." She holds out her hand and I shake it.
"Hi..." I say. I don't mean to stare but she looks so much like Sam. Its really cool actually but kind of scary. "Sorry for staring, but you really look like Sam." I tell her with a smile.
"Yeah I get that a lot." She says laughing. Weird. They've got the same laugh too. "Where is she by the way?"
"Oh, she went with Toby to get a key. Somewhere."
