Y/N POV

Movement against the top of my head disturbs my slumber and I progressively become more aware of my limbs entangled with another as I regain consciousness.

Slowly blinking eyes open, I glance up to regard what had woken me, coming face to face with Wanda. I was curled into her chest, my head nestled into her neck. Her arms are wrapped tightly around my waist and our legs intertwined, the steady beat of her heart thrumming through my hands which were rested against her ribcage. Not wanting to wake the girl, I settle back into her chest, listening to her gentle snores.

I can vaguely remember her pulling me closer during the night, it had been the only time I had briefly woken, which was a surprise since I had always struggled to stay asleep since I was a kid. Last night was probably the best nights sleep I've had in a while, not a single nightmare in sight.

I sense Wanda's breathing shift beneath my fingers as she begins to stir and I shut my eyes, pretending to still be asleep. After a moment, I feel her chin brush lightly against my hair as she peers down at me in her arms and her hold on me intensifies slightly. We lay there for a minute, my eyes still closed, not wanting this moment to end.

I hear doors slam out in the corridor, the rest of the team starting to rise and head to breakfast. I shift in Wanda's arms, acting as if I'm only just waking up and I feel her grip around my waist loosen. Opening my eyes, I shift my gaze up, instantly meeting those bottomless emerald orbs.

"Hey." She whispers, her Sokovian accent thick with drowsiness and a gentle smile tugging her lips, shifting her head up onto her elbow.

"Hey. How's your head?"

"Hurts." Wanda pout's, scrunching her nose and I giggle.

"I forgot to make sure you drank the second bottle of water before you fell asleep. My bad."

Wanda playfully pinches my side and I squeal, trying to wiggle out of her arms.

"Y/N?" Emilia yells from outside the room and I look up at Wanda with a sigh, noticing her face fall slightly.

I reach my hand up, tucking a stray, tangled strand of hair behind her ear before teleporting out of her embrace to the corridor.

"Jesus! You scared me. Where were you?" Emilia yelps as I appear in front of her, a hand flying to her chest.

"In the bathroom." I lie, not wanting Emilia to know I had woken in the arms of the green-eyed girl I had been intrigued by since first laying eyes on her in Sokovia.

"No you weren't, I checked."

"Oh, I- uh..."

Wanda swings her door open, rubbing her eyes as she pads out into the corridor.

"Wanda! Hey girl." Emilia greets her, turning to focus on the girl.

I use her distraction to my advantage, starting to move down towards the elevator.

"Shhh, too loud." Wanda grumbles, and the two trail after me, all of us piling into the lift.

"Y/n, did you not give her the other bottle?"

Emilia leans forward from the wall, peering past Wanda, who was standing between us, at me. I grimace, shaking my head.

"I forgot."

"Damn. The first hangover is always the worst. Y/n rarely gets them, it makes me furious."

I chuckle as the elevator doors ding open and we shuffle out towards the kitchen.
