Y/N POV

Ten minutes later, she knocks on my door, scooting inside dressed in a black hoodie with an oversized red sweater layered over the top, some black joggers and a bag swung over her shoulder.

I was wearing the same but without the sweater, as I get hot easily, opting to shove some blankets into a rucksack along with my phone, battery pack, portable speaker, a joint, lighter and, of course, snacks. She doesn't say a word as she ventures over to me, intertwining her hands with mine.

In an indigo flash and the familiar tugging sensation unravelling in my stomach, we're pulled from the compound in the blink of an eye, our feet landing in the sand as a biting wind tousles our hair.

Fingers still woven together, we stroll across the shore towards the cliffside cave. I pass Wanda my bag as we reach the nook, releasing my grip on her hand so she can set the blanket down for us to sit on.

I look out at the sun lowering towards the horizon whilst I wait for her to sort everything out, gazing up at the gleaming sky covered in endless pink and orange streaks and dotted with dusty blue clouds. Calm settles over my body as the salty breeze blows across my face and through my hair whilst I listen to the crashing ocean in front of me.

A click behind me draws my attention away from the sunset and I peer over my shoulder to see Wanda grinning at me, the polaroid camera I had got her in hand, quietly whirring as it prints the photo she had just captured.

I couldn't help but giggle at the Sokovian who looked so incredibly pleased with herself, my laughter intensifying as she races to take another, making sure to slip the first into her bag so it doesn't blow away.

"This is my new favourite picture ever!"

She waves the new image proudly, a massive smile pulling her cheeks as she looks at the developed film. I throw myself down on the blanket, tugging her down with me and taking the photograph from her.

The sky looked magnificent behind me, bursting with purples and red as the sun got lower towards the sea, which was reflecting the colours in its waves. My body is angled towards her, bent over slightly with my hand held up in front of a gigantic beam spreading across my face as I laugh. The sunset casts a glow over my face, making it seem like my y/e/c eyes are sparkling in the twilight.

My thoughts flashback to what Emilia had said to me on Sunday, I do look happier than I've been in a while.

"Well it's only fair you let me take one of you." I say as I hand her back the polaroid.

"Hey! Wait, let's do one together!" Wanda squeals through adorable giggles, practically clambering into my lap trying to reach for the camera I had snatched off her legs.

"Okay, okay!" I pull at her hips, sitting her down on my thighs and wrapping an arm around her waist, holding the camera up in front of us with my other hand.

She leans back against me, resting her head against mine and the flash leaves white spots in my vision as I click the button, snapping the picture. I retrieve the photo from the exit slot, shaking it so it can develop.

"Take another whilst we wait for that one to appear." Wanda orders me, shifting in my lap to get comfier.

I tuck the photo safely under my leg, making sure not to scratch the delicate film and extending my arm back out to snap a second.

Just as I go to press the catch, Wanda lifts her face away from mine and turns to me.

"Look at me." She demands under her breath, taking ahold of my chin and guiding my eyes over to hers.
