Y/N POV

Teleporting straight to the laundry room, I become invisible so that the security cameras don't pick me up and slip out of my blood-spattered suit.

Removing my notebook and phone, I toss the suit in an empty washer, turning it on before teleporting to my room.

Placing my phone beside the bed and tucking the notebook on top of my wardrobe, I throw on a loose, long-sleeved top with leggings and move to collapse on the mattress but a deafening scream rings through my head causes me to drop to my knees clinging to my ears.

*PIETRO!*

Wanda.

Scrambling to my feet, I race out my door across the hall to Wanda's room and fling the door open. Wanda's curled up on the bed, her knees brought up to her chest as she whimpers in her nightmare.

"Wanda." I whisper, gently shaking her shoulder as I perch on the bed, not wanting to startle her.

"Wanda!"

She was still fast asleep, slow tears now falling down her cheeks. God, this girl does not wake easily. Placing a finger on her temple, I focus my powers on pushing my thoughts into hers.

*WANDA! WAKE UP!*

The Sokovian bolts upright with a yelp, her teary eyes wide and scanning frantically around the room. She finally focuses on me sat before her and flings her arms around me as she begins to weep uncontrollably into my shoulder. I scoot back further on the bed, lifting her into my lap and holding her tightly against me, running my fingers through her hair.

"Shhhh, it's okay. It's okay."

"They just keep coming back." Wanda manages to gasp between sobs.

"I know," I mumble and she peers up at me with bloodshot eyes.

"You still get them?"

"I still get them. I wish I could just take them away for you."

"You do." Wanda darts her eyes back down, shifting anxiously on my lap.

"What?"

She doesn't respond and I nudge her gently.

"Every time I've fallen asleep with you there, I don't have the nightmares. The night after you first took me to the beach, Tony's party and then again last night. The only time I have was when our dreams linked."

I shudder slightly recalling how I had had to force myself awake that night to retrieve Wanda from the dream.

Thinking back to those times, I realise most of those nights I had ended up not sleeping, the only time I had was after Tony's party and I hadn't had a single dream that night either.
