Y/N POV

Sweat drips from my forehead as I duck Natashas fist swinging for my jaw.

Springing back up, I throw a right hook at her head, promptly following through with a jab to the throat.

She successfully blocks the hook but leaves herself exposed to my second hit. Nat staggers back slightly though recovers quickly, charging back towards me.

Staying light on my toes, I manage to dodge her flurry of punches but she catches me off guard, hooking her foot behind my knee and pulling my leg out from beneath me.

I work with the momentum of the fall to roll backwards on the mat, leaping back up to my feet.

I twist my hips to the left, pulling my right knee up and pushing the sole of my foot into Nat's chest, forcing some distance between us.

We circle the mat, fists up and eyes locked as we both plan our next move.

The training room door opens with a click but neither of us breaks eye contact to see who had wandered in, knowing the other will take advantage and pounce.

I finally cave, shifting my focus to spy Wanda watching us at the side of the mat, looking adorable in a black skater skirt, knee-high socks and a white crop top with a flannel shirt layered over the top.

A change in my peripheral vision makes me snap my attention back to the assassin, whose foot was soaring towards my head. I snatch her ankle before it collides with my jaw, holding it against my shoulder and yanking her towards me.

Nat hops closer to try and maintain her balance but I sweep her other foot out from beneath her. As she tumbles to the mat, she once again manages to catch my knee, bringing me down with her.

I land on top of her and she instantly rolls me over, straddling my stomach and holding my wrists up beside my head. Jerking my hips up, she knocks forwards onto her hands that had now released my wrists, our faces inches apart.

Shooting my arms down, I wrap my fingers around her thighs, rolling into her arm beside my head, forcing her elbow to bend and driving her whole body back against the mat with me between her legs.

I hurdle over her limb to her left side, leaning my entire body weight into her chest. Slipping my right arm across her torso and under her armpit and my left beneath her neck, I clasp my hands together above her right collar bone, pinning her down.

"One..."

I begin to count as Nat thrashes in my grip, trying to get her shoulders off the mat.

"Two... Three! Ha!" I cheer, releasing my hold on the redhead and sitting back on my knees.

"I taught you too well." Nat groans, wiping the sweat from her face as she pants on her back.

"Or I'm just better than you." I taunt, smirking at the redhead.

"Hey, I brought you some water."

Wanda had moved across the mat and was now standing beside me, holding a bottle coated in a cool layer of condensation out to me.

"Lifesaver, thank you!"

Our fingers brush as I take the bottle from her with a warm smile and I notice a small red glow appear on her cheeks.

Unscrewing the lid I gaze up at the auburn-haired girl, taking a long drink of the crisp water, realising I was thirstier than I realised.

"Yeah, don't worry about me." Nat calls out, interrupting the little world Wanda and I had entered.

"Oh, right. Yeah, uh- Here, I have it here!"
