I squeezed tight onto the stuffed cat that Harry had won me at the fair, as I rested my head on it. What is Liam doing? Is he crazy? HE ALMOST FUCKING DIED! I shivered at the memory, catching Liz's attention who was sitting beside me on my bed. "You ok?" she asked as I nodded hesitantly. "Liam's gonna be fine. I'm worried too, but everyone should have a second chance. I mean, she was drunk..."

I drew a deep breath, "I know, but still, I can't stand to see everything happen again... He was unconscious for two days... Do you know how scared everyone was? Even you were freaking out in Wolverhampton without seeing him lie on that hospital bed... It was worse than you think..."

"I know, I remember. I understand how you feel and you're not the only one who thinks that and I don't think he would take her if he doesn't think she's changed"

"I know... But I'm still worried. I know that people do crazy things when they're drunk... But doing that is beyond crazy and she didn't come back to say sorry or anything..."

"She didn't because Zayn wouldn't let her, remember?" Liz tilted her head. I thought about it for a moment. It was true, Zayn wouldn't let Liam talk to her and he threatened Dani that if she ever came close to him again there would be consequences.

"I guess you're right... People change I guess, but if he does bring her, he's not leaving anyone's sight and she isn't getting no booze" I said as Liz laughed.

"I don't think there will be any 'booze'" Liz playfully hit me with her teddy that Niall had won her from the fair.

"Are you kidding me? This is high school, there's bound to be some somewhere!"

"Ha, true. Well Dani's not getting any"

"Definitely not and so aren't you Miss Lets-Go-Skinny-Dipping" I laughed.

"Hey! Niall thought it was a good idea!" she shouted as she hit me again with her bear.

"Pfffttt, duh! He's your boyfriend of course he wants to go skinny dipping with you"

"Shut up!"

"Can't deny the truth!"

"Ha! Can't deny that you used to like Zayn for two years"

I covered her mouth, "that's the past, it never worked out, he's my best friend!"

"Yeah, that you haven't talked to since Tuesday" she said seriously, "you haven't talked to him after the argument... Haven't you"

I shook my head. I hadn't talked to Zayn since the scene in the cafeteria on Tuesday. Every time he saw me he would walk away. He does hold grudges but I never thought he would hold one against me... This is the first time he's acted this way to me. There had to be another reason apart from the fight that he wouldn't talk to me, but I couldn't think of any. We would usually text every night but we haven't and I miss it. It's weird not having him around me and talking to him. I miss him, I miss my best friend.

I was drawn away from my thoughts by Liz's sigh, "you should try talking to him" she suggested.

"I want to, I really want to... But all he's gonna do is walk away"

"Then try, he is your best friend after all. You've known him for more than half your life"

I pursed my lips, "true..."

"So you'll talk to him?"

"Yeah, I'll try"

"Yay" Liz smiled, "have you talked to Liam?"

"Yeah I have, but not about Dani, things are awkward enough already" I sighed.

"Things will work out, trust me"

"I hope so..."

"Just try talking to him on Monday, or the next time you see him, ok?" she asked as I nodded slowly.

Zayn's Pov

I took a walk down by the park to clear my thoughts. I looked up to the Sunday night stars shining above of me, they're so beautiful. It was peaceful in the park as the dim street lights shone onto the side walk. I kicked a rock along the path, taking in the fresh air.

Dani deserves a second chance, Liam deserves to be happy, they love each other. Isn't that all that counts? Everyone deserves a second chance in love, why didn't Selena understand that? She never understood that! That's what pisses me off.

I felt a tear slide down my cheek as I kicked the rock hard into a tree.

*Flash back*

"I love you" I whispered, looking down at my feet.

"You wouldn't have kissed her if you did" Selena said coldly as our friends watched us.

"It was a dare" I bit my lip, trying to pull the tears back.

"You wouldn't have kissed her, even if it was a dare. It proved I mean nothing"

"You mean everything"

"Doesn't look like it"

"Please forgive me... I love you, I really do... Please give me a second chance" I begged.

She sighed, "I can't" the words stabbing into my hurting heart.

"I'm sorry"

"You're only sorry cause you got caught"

"I love you, please can we try again? I promise I won't do it again" I said, barely audible. All I want is a second chance, nothing else. Just a second chance to show her I love her and to show her I'm sorry. She means everything to me, I wasn't gonna let five months go to waste. I love her, all I wanted to do is make her happy. All I want is the second chance to gain her trust again and keep it.

"Zayn, we're thirteen, a relationship never lasts. We're only wasting our time" she said, turning to walk away as a droplet left my eye.

*Flash back over*

My heart ached at the memory. All I wanted was a second chance, but she never gave it to me. Now that Liam's giving Dani a second chance she won't let him. Why couldn't she let Liam make his own decisions? It's not her choice whether or not Dani deserves a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance in love, no matter what they did! She's only ruining Liam and Dani's chance for love again! Couldn't she understand that? I don't want Liam to get hurt again but it's worth a shot considering he still loves her with all his heart. Why couldn't Selena see that?
