George ran to the elevator as he strolled inside the apartment lobby and rapidly clicked the hall call button outside. His legs felt like jam from the long walk back and he felt like his knees are going to collapse anytime soon. The stinging on his kneecaps were like mines that destroyed his legs and knees. He breathed as the elevator door slipped opened, giving him an empty sight.

George stepped inside the mirror-walled room waiting impatiently for the door to slide open again. Excitement fueled his body as he felt the claustrophobic room wobble that made his body wobble a bit too. The door opened and George rushed out of the small room, disregarding the shooting pain in his knees. His brain just kept telling him to flop on his bed, which enticed his body more making the pain develop.

He grabbed his keys in the pocket of his sweatpants and unlock the door only to find it already unlocked. George thought it was weird as he stepped inside his apartment and immediately heard a noise in the kitchen. He shrugged the bad thoughts off and instead believed that it was just his cat. Maybe even Dream.

And surprise surprise. It was both. Cat was calmly licking his paws looking gourmet as ever, resting on top of the kitchen island counter sometimes looking up to Dream and oh, Dream. Dream is just so flawless as he is. He danced around the kitchen looking for some things he needed such as pans or any other cooking utensils. George just stood there looking at the pair in awe. That's also why he loves Dream because he's a great cook and also great in bed.

He stepped closer and he accidentally bumped one of the island stools making a loud scratchy noise on the tile-y floor making them all jump at the same time. Clay turned around. His face displayed a shocked expression but it was immediately switched into a sweet expression with his saccharine-dipped smile on his lips that made George shiver.

Dream stepped closer to George who was stifling a giggle. Clay hugged George and George was complete. His body melted. He felt stretchy like mozzarella. It was just the best that it might be the ruin of his existence. It was all he needed that the giggle that he was stifling came out of his lips.

The giggle was cute in a way, almost girly and Dream adore it. It entered in his ears that seemed to go straight up to his taste buds. Luscious. It scratched his eardrums with a feather in a way that he wanted to listen to it on loop. Dream leaned his head on top of George's. They look like a puzzle masterpiece, they harmonize perfectly with each other. Like the other was the only thing that kept them hanging.

"Hi, Dream" George mumbled on the fabric of Dream's hoodie.

"Hi!" Dream said in a high-pitched loving voice and pulled away.

"-and oh I made you dinner because I thought that you're hungry from your walk" Dream said as he grabbed George's arm towards the island. George promptly sat on one of the stools letting out a sigh of relief, the once shooting pain washed off into relaxation.

"Tired?" Dream asked, the smile still stuck on his face as he watched his so-called best friend. George heavily nodded. George silently ate and stopped as he realized. He gave Dream a confused look that almost said 'have you eaten?'

"I've already eaten while you were gone" which George only hummed in acknowledgment. Dream waited for George to finish as George praised his cooking once in a while.

When George finished George went to wash his plate but he was stopped by Dream. Dream grabbed the plate out of George's hands and started to wash it himself while George just watched him with an in-loved gaze. He was very lucky to have Dream as his best friend. Best friend. His smile wavered but he still managed to keep his smile. At least he's with Dream.

When Dream finished washing the plate, he dried his hands with a towel and carried George by the thighs. George let out a yelp as Dream threw them both on the couch. They giggled at each other with pure delight. They stayed in the same position for a bit after their merriment died, replacing it with a serene atmosphere. It was the atmosphere that lingers around the forest where nothing can be heard but the hum of birds and the leaves brushing.

George was under Dream whilst his fingers were entangled with Dream's blonde strands of hair. Dream sighed with pleasure at the action. Dream's head was on top of George's chest, listening to the soft beating under George's skin.

Dream grabbed the remote tv from the coffee table, leaning back for a bit that made George sit up. Dream stopped George and laid down on top of George again as he started to scroll through the movies.

'Aww, he's being clingy' George thought. He could feel his cheeks cramping from smiling so wide. Dream being clingy is very rare so George made sure to savor this moment that might come back only after a century.

Dream clicked on a movie and went to bury his head on George's neck not even watching the movie. George just wanted to stop the time right then and there. The warmth of Dream's body on top of him was like a natural heater. The heater that could dissolve anything even George's heart and the heater that could make George's mind obscure.

George didn't expect Dream to be like this since every time Dream comes and visits him he is either sensual or drunken into another world. George loves this very exact moment with his whole life.

George's eyelids started to feel heavier as a second passed. Dream took notice of it when he felt George's hand stopped massaging his scalp.

"George you seemed tired, let's head to bed" Dream stood up and carried George bridal style towards the bedroom. George slipped into a slumber on Dream's arms as he felt his body rocked with every step Dream took.

Dream, on the other hand, placed George on the bed carefully to not wake the brit in his arms. He simply tucked the boy on the bed and went to lay beside him. He watched his best friend for a while. George looked so peaceful yet bothered at the same time. He decided to scroll through TikTok for a bit before sleeping.

After an hour of scrolling through the endless pit of his for you page, he felt George shiver and sniff. George's back was facing Dream and George sounds like he was crying and mumbling something.

He shook the boy on the shoulders that made him shot up. His tear-stained face reflected the moonshine from outside. It was a sad sight to see yet ethereal. Dream cradled the smaller boy in his arms, letting George cry and continuously muttering some reassuring words in George's ears.

They stayed there for a while and Dream couldn't help but feel bad for George. George had mentioned his nightmares to Dream and Dream remembered George's teary eyes that time as George stumbled around words, trying to explain everything to Dream. It broke Dream's heart.

If George wouldn't cry to sleep, the nightmares will visit his mind. He could see his Mum from the distance and him running towards the silhouette in the dark box the seemed to never end. It made George broken and tired. All he wanted was to hug his Mum but he, unfortunately, couldn't. How can the universe be so selfish that it wouldn't let him hug his mum... even through just a nightmare. Everything is so selfish.

They sat on the bed as they both slowly rode to sleep.
