The next morning George woke up. His head buried on Dream's chest and Dream's head buried on George's brown locks and an arm securely draped over his waist. They cuddled. That means that Dream loves him right? He smiled and stayed in the same position for over twenty(20) minutes. He missed the warmth that he was longing but he finally got it but something is still off but George shrugged the thoughts away and sinking further on Dream's chest. He yawned and finally decided to get up. The bed creaked under him as he did. The sounds of shuffling on the ground were made as George slipped his slippers.
He went downstairs to the kitchen and made breakfast for him and Dream. It was not long after before Dream appeared from upstairs immediately sitting on the vacant high chairs on the kitchen island. George warmly smiled at Dream before sliding Dream a plate. George sat beside Dream greeting the taller good morning, tapping his head on Dream's shoulder. Dream responded with a greet too and the silence was back. George thought about starting a conversation,
"How'd you sleep?" George asked wanting badly for a conversation.
"It was okay" Dream responded and continued eating and the silence was back yet again. Fuck sake. George mentally cursed as he started to eat his breakfast. After he finished, he left Dream with the house to go to the grocery,
"Dream! I'm going grocery shopping!" He called out. It echoed throughout the house but he was responded with silence. He sighed before going towards his car and drove away. What happened?
What happened to him and Dream? His eyebrows furrowed as he felt a pang on his chest. He kept telling himself that Dream still loves him but even his mind was tired of him. After five(5) minutes of nothing but the sounds of car engines, he finally arrived at the grocery. The grocery was not that packed with people so he got on his way with ease. Almost all of the isles were empty, which he was thankful for because he wanted to be alone in the meantime. He wanted to be alone with Dream if that makes sense.
When he finally got all the things he needs. He went back to his car, grocery bags on either hand. He placed it on the car trunk carefully before hopping on the driver's seat. He got an idea. Since he loves Dream so much, he decided that he would make a promise. He drove into a nearby mall and went inside as soon as he arrived. This one was different though because it's noisy and full of people either sitting or walking.
He walked on the jewelry aisle for a minute before a ring caught his attention. It's a thick silver ring but not too thick and small bits of diamonds are scattered on the small surface. On the other side, there was a small smiley engraved. This is perfect. He victoriously thought before asking and buying it with his own money. He grabbed the black small box before thanking the guy behind the counter. He almost skipped on his way back home, ecstatic.
He immediately grabbed the groceries as it started to rain. He ran inside, placing the groceries on the island, and went upstairs. He could hear the shower running from the guest bathroom. Weird. He called out for Dream and went to their bedroom. The unmade bed seemed to call out for George's help. He sighed and made the bed before Dream entered their bedroom, already clothed and George could swear that he heard the front door opened and closed. He ignored it though.
"Hi!" George said and patted the bed beside him. Dream smiled and George almost gasped. He smiled at George!
"Hello, what's up?"
Wow, how could he say that? What's up? Really? Well, my boyfriend is ignoring me and not giving me attention. George mentally responded.
"I have something for you!" George giggled and grabbed the small box on his hoodie.
"I... want to give you a promise ring" he opened it and put it on Dream's finger. Dream shakily smiled and he almost looked... guilty? Though George brightly smiled back that it was brighter than the ceiling lights. He was so happy.
"I will promise you that... I, George NotFound, will forever love you no matter what happens" He said with all of his heart. If only he could give Dream his actual heart, he would. That's how much he loves Dream.
"I will always care for you and I will be by your side. Eternally" He smiled and brought Dream's hand towards his lips and kissed the ring on Dream's fingers. Dream smiled though this time more genuine. George brought them together in a hug. Dream didn't hug back almost guiltily and let George sink on his body. Dream felt bad that even though he was being a dick, George still loves him. He doesn't deserve George.
George pulled away. His once-bright smile faltered into a small one before telling Dream that he needed to arrange the groceries. George walked downstairs leaving Dream to do his things in the bedroom. He was happy that Dream seemed to be okay now. He arranged the groceries. After doing so, he sat for a breather after he did.
The night was coming along so he decided to cook their dinner. He looked up a pasta recipe and watched it whilst cooking. He was proud of his work at the end and called out for Dream to eat.
They ate in silence. It wasn't comfortable nor uncomfortable. After they finished Dream sat on the couch as George washed their dirty plates. The plates clanging and the cold water hitting his palms was relaxing. It helped him forget about things that he needed to get out of his tired mind. He was tired of all this bullshit but he didn't know. He wanted and thought about was Dream and Dream only. He loves Dream.
After he finished washing the dishes, he sat beside Dream watching the movie that was on the screen leaning on his boyfriend,
I love Dream. Always.
