Run Away (Twilight/ F&F crossover)

Chapter Thirty Five

       Daria was feeling a little under the weather when she woke up. Nymphadora seemed to be extra energetic, so Sam was taking care of her with Embry for the day. Paul, Jacob, and Jared were on patrol, trying to catch the red headed leech that had attacked Daria and Nymphadora.

       Around noon, Daria decided she needed to finally eat something. She knew if she didn't eat soon, her stomach wouldn't allow her to eat later. Pulling a loaf of bread from the corner of the counter, she grabbed a jar of peanut butter and a small jar of jelly. Daria wouldn't lie, she was such a child when it came to food sometimes.

       As she was tearing small bits of her sandwich off and eating it, she heard the sound of cars pulling up. Her eyebrows furrowed, as she stood up and walked towards the door. Embry quickly ran over to stand with her to make sure nothing happened. Daria's eyes widened and her blood ran cold when she recognized the cars that were in front of the pack house.

"Shit." Daria whispered, feeling as though she was going to pass out.

"Do you know them?" Embry asked quietly, looking over at Daria.

"That's my family." She answered, opening the door and stepping outside.

"Sam!" Embry exclaimed, as he watched Daria walk closer towards the people getting out of the cars.

        As Sam walked towards the door, Embry put his head outside the kitchen window and whistled for the other members of the pack. He knew if things got ugly, the rest of the pack needed to be there to defend Daria and Nymphadora. Sam looked out the door and frowned, knowing he needed someone to stay with Nymphadora.

"Stay with her." Sam stated, motioning towards Nymphadora.

"I'll protect her with my life." Embry replied, walking into the room with Nymphadora.

      Dom, Letty, Brian, Mia, Tej, Roman, and Han stared at Daria in disbelief. The girl they had watched grow up, seemed to be living just fine away from them all. Han couldn't believe how comfortable she looked living where she was, after the call he got where he could hear how sad she was and how much she had missed all of them. It was like staring at a whole different person than the one they all knew before.

"What are you guys doing here?" Daria asked nervously, unsure of how they had even found her.

     Daria had went through all the precautions she was taught to go off the grid, and yet they still found her. She realized then the biggest thing she forgot to do, she forgot to ditch her car, but her car was her baby and there was no way she was just going to ditch it.

"We came to bring you home, Darling." Dom said, causing Daria to frown.

"I like it here, Dad. Everyone is nice and accepts me. It's amazing here." Daria replied, crossing her arms.

"And you're saying we weren't nice? We didn't accept you?" Letty asked, and Daria sighed.

"Well, that's not what I'm saying, but I had to leave. I had to get away." Daria commented, causing the whole family to frown.

"Why?" Brian asked, his eyes showing how sad he was feeling about seeing Daria, just for her to tell them she liked being here away from them.

"I had--I just--I can't tell you, I just did." Daria stuttered, feeling panicked.

      As those words came out of her mouth, it was as if the pack had known she was feeling panicked and scared.

"Are you alright?" Jared asked quietly, stepping close to her.

      Instead of answering, Daria simply nodded stiffly. Jared and Sam were closest to her, with Paul and Jacob on their sides. Anyone would feel afraid of the guys around her, but Daria's family simply felt threatened by the guys, as if it was a battle of dominance.

"Who are you?" Dom asked, glaring at the guys, Sam mostly, since he stood closest to Daria.

"Dad, these are my friends. This is Jared Cameron, Paul Lahote, Jacob Black," She began, as she motioned towards each pack member, before motioning towards Sam,"and this is my boyfriend, Sam Uley." She finished, as Dom seemed to grow angrier.

       Dom felt as though not only did his daughter run away, but she also went and got herself a boyfriend who looked like he and his friends were dangerous.

"Absolutely not! Darling Toretto, you are coming straight home!" Dom exclaimed, as he stepped closer towards Daria.

      As he stepped closer, the pack crowded closer towards Daria protectively. Dom scowled, wanting the guys to step away from his daughter.

"Dad, I'm serious. I like it here. They're all nice people, and--" Daria began, before she was cut off.

       From the porch, Daria and the pack heard the door slam open, before they heard light running. Turning around, Daria's eyes widened when she seen Nymphadora with Embry hot on her heels.

"No! Dora, come back!" Embry exclaimed, as he tripped down the stairs.

     There wasn't but two stairs, still Embry had tripped over them because of how fast he was trying to run to get to Nymphadora who had a five second head start on him. He had looked away for a moment to fix her a cup, only for her to run off.

"Mommy!" Nymphadora exclaimed, as she ran to Daria's legs and wrapped her arms around them.

"What did she just...?" Tej trailed off, feeling confused as hell.

"Who--is this--who is this?" Roman asked, looking at the little girl.

      Daria sighed shakily, knowing it was now or never. She picked up Nymphadora and handed her over to Sam, before turning back to her family.

"Mi familia, this is Nymphadora Toretto, my daughter. She's the reason I left. I didn't want to, but I knew you all would be disappointed in me. So, instead of disappointing you all, I ran away, had Dora, moved here, met the guys, and ended up moving in with Sam." Daria said, staring at her family.

      In that moment, she couldn't tell any of her family's reactions...
