Run Away (Twilight/ F&F crossover)

Chapter Seventy One

"Darling." Sam called, getting the girl's attention.

     Sam motioned with his head for the girl to follow him, and she did with a frown. She wasn't sure why Sam seemed so angry, since she had never actually seen someone imprint before, so she didn't know what Quil had done. Once they were in their room, Sam closed the door and turned to his fiance.

"What's wrong?" Daria asked Sam, causing him to growl.

"Quil imprinted on Dora." Sam said, making his fiance frown again.

"Are you serious?" She asked, and he nodded.

"Yes, it happened when they locked eyes." Sam murmured, causing the girl to scowl.

"She's barely a toddler, Sam." Daria commented, making Sam nod.

"I know, but we have to look at this logically, right?" He questioned, and she sighed.

"I guess you're right, but how? She's our baby, Sam." She murmured, causing Sam to run his fings through his hair.

"Well, when it comes to imprinting, the shifter will be whatever their imprint needs. They'll be a protector, a brother, a friend, whatever they're needed to be. They don't have to be lovers, and if they are, it'll be a long time from now." Sam stated, dragging out the word 'long' to emphasize it.

"Have you explained imprinting to Quil?" Daria asked, causing the man to shake his head.

"I was going to tell him everything tomorrow that I haven't already went over earlier." Sam answered, and the girl nodded.

"Well, if that's the case, we should probably go back in there. Quil doesn't understand what happened, so he'll think he did something wrong and--" Daria began, before Sam cut her off.

"Well, technically--" Sam also started, but Daria cut him off with a glare.

"He doesn't understand, so he's done nothing wrong. Besides, if what you've said is correct, he'll be a protector and brother for Dora, not something wrong." Daria said, and Sam nodded reluctantly.

      Daria pecked Sam's lips, before she opened their bedroom door and walked out. She headed into the kitchen and seen the worried look on Quil's face. When he seen her, he looked up at her wiry furrowed eyebrows. Daria simply smiled at the boy, before she sat down to eat dinner. Sam came into the kitchen soon after, and he made sure to not look as mad as he had been earlier, since Daria had told him to calm down a bit.

      When dinner was over, Daria passed out brownies knowing at least two or three of the pack would be going out on patrol after they were finished. Once everyone was done, Jacob, Leah, Embry, and Jared left for patrol, whilst everyone else stayed in the house. Seth headed into the living room to watch cartoons with Nymphadora, while Daria washed dishes and Sam and Quil sat at the kitchen table, with Paul silently watching the two. Daria looked back towards Sam and gave him a nod, signaling for him to go ahead and explain everything to Quil.

"So, Jacob hasn't imprinted on Bella, but he's still infatuated with her as if he did?" Quil asked, after hearing quite a bit of information from Sam.

"Precisely, but don't mention that at all to Jacob, otherwise he'll start whining about it again." Daria said, as Sam nodded in agreement.

"He doesn't seem to want to understand the meaning of imprinting. He's been trying to force it on Bella, but that's not how it works. He's mad that it doesn't work that way, so he's been taking it out on Sam, Darling, and Dora." Paul commented, causing Quil to scowl.

"He's jealous, so he's taking it out on imprints and children?" Quil asked, though his question was rhetorical.

     Daria could see that Quil was disappointed in his friend, but she knew he needed to know the truth. If he didn't know the truth, he wouldn't understand what happened earlier between him and Nymphadora, or how wrong Jacob was acting towards Daria, Nymphadora, and the rest of the pack. Jacob was the only problem the pack seemed to have, which really made no sense. If Jacob would only cooperate, things would be a lot easier for everyone, including himself.

"If he would stop messing around with the leech lover, he'd probably find his imprint." Quil commented, and the others nodded.

"I have a feeling, she'll be a leech before he finally let's her go." Paul said, causing Daria to shake her head in disbelief.

"I wish he'd get his head out of his ass already. If he says one more rude thing to me while I'm on the phone with my family, they've threatened to come up here to take care of him. I have a feeling when they said it, they meant all of them and not just Mom and Dad. They'd contact everyone from before as well." Daria stated, as she dried her hands on a dish towel.

"I'd love to see Jacob get his ass kicked by your parents." Paul commented, as Sam chuckled and nodded in agreement.

"I've never met your family." Quil said, causing the girl to turn towards him.

"I believe you will soon. They're never too far behind, and they always want to visit." Daria replied, as she smiled at the boy.

"If only they knew about the wolves," Paul murmured, a smirk making it's way to his face,"you'd also be getting your ass kicked by the family for imprinting on the baby." He said, as Quil's eyes widened in fear.

"Don't worry, Quil, they have no idea," Daria commented, before turning towards Paul,"My cousin Jack is the baby by the way. Dora is older than little Jack." She informed him, and Paul chuckled.

      Daria missed little Jack, but she knew she'd see him again. She wondered if she could use Quil as an excuse for her family to visit, so they could meet the pack's new friends. She didn't need her family finding out about the wolves, but she wanted them to visit again. Honestly, she had missed them more since she went on the job with them months ago, and she wondered if the life was pulling her back in...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. So, I spent a few days to think about ideas, and this one came to mind. I'm trying to tie in some more things before Fate of the Furious, but I don't know exactly how much I'll be able to add, since I still have to deal with Bella's pregnancy. Also, should Jacob still imprint on Renesmee, or should I make an OC? I was also wondering if Daria and Sam should have their own baby? Also, I went through and fixed the chapter numbers, I didn't realize I jumped up so far and nobody told me!
