Chapter Fifty Six

     A day or so had passed, before Sam had to leave Daria's side. Embry and Paul had come to Sam to tell him that Quil had finally phased into his wolf. Sam had left with the two pack members, but left Seth and Jared to help Daria and Nymphadora. Sam knew Daria didn't like asking for help, but Jared wasn't taking 'no' for an answer. He was going to help her rather she liked it or not.

      Sam, Embry, and Paul had went to find Quil and help him, while Jacob and Leah were on patrol. Jacob hadn't really been given any time off after what he had done to Daria. Sam and the rest of the pack were so pissed, none of them wanted to work with him. They only agreed to work with him so they could pretty much torture him with all the good things they could think about Daria and Nymphadora.

"Why am I a giant wolf?" Quil murmured, while he continued to look at his paws.

"You're a part of the pack now, Quil. As you can see, all of the legends were true." Sam said, causing Quil to quickly turn towards him, Paul, and Embry.

"Sam? You're a wolf, too?" Quil asked, and Sam nodded.

"So am I, and Paul, Jared, Seth, Leah, and Black." Embry commented, though when he said Jacob's name it came out like he had spat venom from his mouth.

"What's wrong with Jacob?" He asked, causing Sam, Paul, and Embry to growl.

       Paul had showed Quil what had happened, which somewhat made Quil understand why the whole pack was angry at him.

"Who were the girls?" He asked, causing the other wolves to calm down.

"Darling Toretto is my imprint." Sam said, feeling happy as he thought about her.

"The little girl is Darling's daughter, Nymphadora, but since Darling is Sam's imprint, Dora is now Sam's daughter as well. He loves her as his own, and we protect her as such." Paul added, as Embry nodded in agreement.

"What is an imprint?" He asked, and Embry snorted.

"They're your soulmate. When you meet them, you'll just know it. Your whole world will change. They're the reason you're living, breathing, and waking up every day. You'd be their protector, brother, friend, or whatever they need at the moment. You're relationship can change, and you'll do whatever you can to be with them." Sam stated, and Quil could tell that Sam had an imprint, even if he hadn't had mentioned Daria, Quil would've knew Sam was speaking from experience.

"None of the wolves can harm an imprint, and the pack must protect the imprints at all cost, that's why Jacob is hated. He harmed an imprint." Embry commented, and Quil growled.

      Even though Quil didn't know Daria, he was still pissed at Jacob for hurting a woman. He believed a man should never put his hands on a woman, especially an imprint.

"Think about your human form and change back. There's shorts near the pack house. Seth set them out before we left to get you." Sam stated, and Quil began to do what he said.

"I'm coming back to the pack house where your imprint and her daughter are?" He asked, and Sam nodded.

"I trust that you'll be safe around them, and if you're not, you'll end up like Jacob." Sam replied, as Paul and Embry laughed at Jacob's punishment.

      The four shifters grabbed their shorts and slid them on, before Sam led them to the house.

"You'll get a haircut and your tattoo tomorrow. Today I want to see how well you do around others." Sam stated, and Quil nodded.

        As they walked inside, Sam scowled at his imprint.

"What are you doing up? You're supposed to be resting. Sue had strict orders." Sam commented, and the girl turned towards him.

"Don't stare, it bugs Sam." Embry whispered to Quil, when he seen the scars on the girl's abdomen.

      Quil glanced at her scars, but quickly looked away to keep from angering Sam. He did wonder how Daria had gotten the scars, but if Sam was uncomfortable about people staring at the scars, Quil figured he had been there or been a reason why the scars happened.

"I wanted to meet the newest pack member. Besides, I figured you'd all be hungry." She commented, causing Sam to sigh.

"You're supposed to be resting, not cooking and walking around. You could hurt yourself more." Sam stated, and the girl frowned.

"I know, but--" She began, before he cut her off.

"Who was watching you?" He asked, and she smiled innocently.

"I was. She's mean, Sam. I really tried to keep her in the room, but she threatened to run me over with her car once she's back to driving." Jared said, causing Embry, Paul, and Quil to laugh at him.

"You'd be the first person I ever ran over." She commented, shrugging her shoulders slightly.

      Jared looked over at Sam with wide eyes, and he sighed.

"At least go lay on the couch with the heating pad." Sam pleaded, and she groaned.

"Fine." She retorted, as she slowly made her way back to the living room to lay on the couch.

       As she laid down, Seth came out of the nursery with Nymphadora. He smiled at Daria, and went to set Nymphadora down on the floor near Daria, but she quickly shook her head.

"Sam wants to introduce her to Quil." She murmured, and Seth nodded.

      Seth walked Nymphadora into the kitchen and handed her to Sam. Sam smiled at the little girl in his arms, as she rubbed her fists on her eyes to fully wake up from her nap.

"Good sleep, Dora?" Sam asked, and Nymphadora nodded.

"Hungry, Dora? Momma made grilled cheese." Paul commented, causing the girl to look over towards the boys.

"Dora, this is our newest friend, Quil." Embry said, as he motioned towards Quil.

       Nymphadora looked towards Quil and their eyes connected. When they made eye contact, Quil stiffened, causing the other boys' eyes to widened, whilst Sam growled.

"You did not just do that." Jared murmured, as stared at the newest pack member.

      If Jacob wasn't going to die for hurting Daria, Quil definitely was for imprinting on Daria and Sam's little girl...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I was going to make an OC for Nymphadora, but I decided to go with Quil, since Quil didn't have an imprint. Also, the outfit Daria was wearing to expose her scars is in the media. She's wearing the outfit, since it's the easiest to put on since she had hurt her back.
