Chapter 5: Almost

"YOOHYEON IS WHAT?!" Bora shouted. Minji's sure that 4 adjacent rooms heard that. It’s her first time telling this to her friends. 

"Shh. Don't shout Bora. There are other people here too. And yes. Yoohyeon and I met at the club and she helped me when I was about to fall.” Minji blushed at the memory that was still clear in her mind.

“If you don’t remember, Ms. Kim Bora, I told you that I was going to the bathroom but you were so drunk and you kept dancing. I was about to go to our table but of course, I almost fell since I was so tipsy.” She sighed before continuing,

“God, it’s so embarrassing that I first met her when I was drunk. DRUNK, Bora. And now, she’s my doctor. God..... So embarrassing.” Minji laid back and sighed again. Yubin then asked, 

"So what are you gonna do now?" Minji looked at Yubin and said,

"I don't know. I'm thinking of asking for her number before I get discharged. And I'll see how things will take a turn from there." The three friends smiled at each other before Bora said,

"Oh our dear Minji, it's nice seeing you like this. For the past 5 years we were together, we never saw you like this. We're happy for you." Bora patted Minji’s head. They all hugged Minji and the actress thanked each of them. Their soft moment was interrupted by the doctor.

“Oh. I-uhh. I’ll just come back later.” Yoohyeon was about to leave but she was stopped by Siyeon.

“Oh no no. Come in. We’re gonna leave in a few minutes anyways since we need to head back to the studio.” Oh right. They’re a band. Yoohyeon then bowed and sat down on the chair beside Minji’s bed. She then started talking to Minji.

“How are you feeling Minji?” 

“Better. I didn’t know that the wound would hurt this bad though.” Minji placed her hand over her stomach. Yoohyeon gave a small smile and said,

“I’m sorry for that. We need to wait for at least 10 days to remove the stitches. The pain usually speeds the recovery but if it really hurts, tell me so I can inject some pain killers. Also, 48 hours of no solid foods. Water is fine but other liquids are not. The stitch might open if you eat this early.” Yoohyeon explained and Minji sighed. Among her friends, Minji was known to love food before anything else. Teasingly, Bora said,

“Awww…. Our dear Minjwi can’t eat. Our cutie Minjwi is sad.” Minji then gave Bora a glare and raised her fist to “threaten” Bora. But of course, Bora knew that Minji was joking around, so she willingly joked too.

“Oh no! I’m scared! Singnie! Help me!” Bora said dramatically and hugged Siyeon. Everyone in the room laughed but Minji forgot that she had stitches on so laughing hard hurts her.

“Ow…” Minji stopped laughing and laid her hand on her stomach. Yoohyeon quickly diverted her attention to the older. 

“Are you okay?” Yoohyeon asked with worry.

“I forgot to tell you that even laughing would hurt.” Minji nodded her head and said,

“It’s fine. I’m fine. Do I need to wait 48 hours too?” Yoohyeon nodded and the actress gave Yoohyeon a small smile to assure the doctor. Yubin then whispered to both Bora and Siyeon as the doctor was asking more questions to Minji.

“Do you think they still know we’re here?” Siyeon smirked and looked at the two before saying,

“I don’t think so. Let’s get outta here.” Siyeon then cleared her throat and said,

“We don’t wanna be here while you two make heart eyes to each other so we’re gonna leave now.” The 3 friends saw Yoohyeon and Minji blush. They all giggled and Bora added,
