Faelas rested his forehead on his palms, eyes half shrouded in thick lashes, dark brows drawn together. It was the year 2940 and he had reached his 43rd spring. A few years ago, he had grown, essentially, out of his childlike body. Faelas was nearing 50, which is the most he would age as an elf, or rather, part elf, as he was assumed to be, for he grew a bit of facial hair, which he gathered was an oddity.
