I am in someone's bedroom but seems oddly familiar, the walls in baby yellow and pink. A small wardrobe placed on the right side of the room. Next to it, a cute little toy box for a little child to play with a bunch of toys. There was also a window with a moonlight shining down through the blinds. This room definitely seems familiar, even in the dark, I could make outlines thanks to the little light.
On the little bed, a little girl was sleeping peacefully. Something about this little girl seems familiar, she looks cute sleeping under those bed covers, mumbling words. However on her bed board sat a grey bird sleeping. And it's the bird that caught my eye just by looking closely at it.
Wait is that Joey? It is him and then I realized this little girl was actually me but in a five year old version of myself. This was the day when my lost home was on fire and my family died that night. This is another one of those dreams I've been getting lately.
I yelled, "Joey, Lola wake up you're in danger."
But nothing happened as if I was a ghost. Then I tried to shake the girl but still nothing happened. This always happens in a dream like this.
Suddenly Joey woke up in a panicking attack, and squawked out in alarm. All around me the house was suddenly covered in hot angry flames. Joey turned his head and met my eyes, his eyes were filled with tears crying for me.
He said in a parrot voice that seems to break a beat in my heart, "Goodbye Lola and don't forget me, I love you."
I bolt out of bed breathing and sweating hard as I had my hand clutching to my chest where I felt my heart pounding. Realising I had been sleeping on the floor, I must have wiggled way too much, and landed on the floor, that usually happens to me, not often. Just a dream, just a dream. Then I started to cry because it made me sad and seeing the dream of Joey made me even sadder.
Chico squawks at me with concern, and worry in his eyes.
I whispered, "Don't worry about me, just a bad dream."
