The day after James Parker died, his funeral was taken this day. All his loved ones mainly friends because he had been left in the orphanage door step and had been there all his life, his friends had come to paid their respects to the one they just lost. We were all wearing black as death, everyone had been crying for their loss, even me. James was my friend too, since the day I stepped in the orphanage he's the only one who seems to be fun to hang around with, the only person to understand my situations, he was patient with me and never pushed. He knew time and some love was all I needed to help me recover my problems with my own loss. He was the only one to give me that love, he understood me like an older brother.
After everyone left, I decided to stay here for couple of minutes, alone. Also I have just found out his parents haven't actually abandoned him but they also died the day he was found. That's what Andrea told me before the funeral. It's sounds like to me he ended up like them.
I sat on my feet and placed my hand on his grave. I let my skin touch the touch of the hard stone. I guess when losing a loved one it's hard to get used to the new change and try to move forward.
"Hello James I came to pay some respects to you, since my family died you have always been there for me, comfort me and we have been the closest friends and you had become my older brother that I never had. So thanks for everything especially the parrot who became my friend, so goodbye James Edmund Parker, I'll never forget all the effort you put for me and especially I'll never forget you." Heavy tears ran down my cheeks until it landed on his grave, "I'm sorry, I don't know what to think, I just feel so desolated."
I turned to leave the graveyard but I stopped at two different graves that seems familiar to me, which says.
Peter Woods
Loving Son, Husband and Father who shared great wisdom.
And
Tagen Woods
Loving Daughter, Sister, Wife and Mother who had the biggest smile.
These are my parents grave I patted their graves with my hand and then I left the graveyard unhappily I felt like I had my world being slipped away more than one way. When leaving this place, I found Donny and Sarah waiting for me outside standing in front of their silver Toyota car with their arms crossed. At first they didn't say anything, they just stood looking at me in a way that makes them feel pitiful when they look at me like that.
"How are you feeling?" Sarah asked,
From those words I stopped still to the spot and let my fringe fall over my eyes so they can't see how I'm feeling but it's obvious because Donny came over and gently clasped both his hands on my shoulder and pulled me into the car and sat beside me, he just stayed silent for my sake. It felt odd, instead of James, it's Donny who's supporting me. Sarah started driving while I leaned my head against the car window and stareing the rain, It's like the clouds are upset as much as I am. I felt a hand on my shoulder and when I looked to find Donny giving me a hopeful. I didn't have the courage to smile, instead I was crying.
"You know, he was my friend too." I looked at him confused through my drowned eyes.
I asked through wobbly whisper, "R-really?."
"Well, he just became my only friend few weeks ago," he takes a deep slow breath," Well it was kind of coincidence that we ended up friends, well at school I just slipped down the stairs, I was quite hurt, I was bleeding so badly and no one helped except James Parker the school's soccer team player. He carefully picked the glass shards and threw them in the bin and then he helped me stand up and since then we became friends." Tears ran down his cheeks, "to him it didn't matter if people got scared of me because of my problems he just said once 'I'm sure there's a reason to why you're like that, no offence.' and then he said 'I know someone who has problems she can't come over with.' At first I had no clue who it was he was talking about until today, it was you."
