I was back in my room with June, she was talking to a friend on her phone gettibg happy and squealing once in a while, talking about Christmas and boys. Awkwardly I tuned her down and decided to paint a picture on my art book. I still have the picture of Chico on too.

"Hey Chico, look at this." He turned his looking at the picture, "it's you!"

He sat on my shoulder looking at the picture, "Do you like it?"

He was just tilting his head like he has no idea what I'm holding it, I almost laughed well he's a bird and not a human.

I think I'll paint a picture of a snowman. I turned to a fresh clean page, I grabbed my paint palette, first I squirted a dark blue colour for the dark night sky painting the top of the paper stroking and stroking until it was right, then I grabbed a used the white colour to paint with the brush on the bottom of the page into a blanket of snow, letting it dry fit couple of minutes before painting a snowman otherwise it could smudge.

I painted three white circles, small, medium and large. I grabbed a small size brush for the eyes, mouth, buttons with black, carrot nose with orange, brown for the twig hands and finally the hat and the scarf.

"What do you think Chico?" I say to him, showing the final artwork, "it's a snowman like the one we built."

"That is really good!" June squealed sitting on the bed, "I didn't know, you could paint."

She was about to touch it before I stopped her, "It's still wet, I just painted it now."

"Upsey daisy, my mistake, silly me." She gasped, pulling her hand away and not wanting wet paint on her fingers.

"You can look at it later if you want?" I tell her and then she becomes excited jumping upside down. I've seen teenage girls on TV programs acting really girly.

Her green eyes soon landed on the my wardrobe, "Can I check your wardrobe?"

"Why would you want to check my wardrobe?" I ask her.

"I just want to see it." She says pleading, "Please, I want to see what clothes you have."

"Alright, go ahead." She paced towards my wardrobe on the wall, she opened the door looking through my clothes, "Wow, look at all these clothes, they're pretty."

"Thanks."

"No dresses." She says with disappointment.

"I don't wear dresses!" I reply to her, "Not my thing."

"Don't you go to parties or special events with dresses."

"Not really." I say with annoyed tone, "I'm thirteen by the way."

"Have you ever been to a party?." She demands.

I shrugged, "Well I went to this Halloween party with Ace at his friends house because he encouraged me to and I didn't wear a dress."

"Ace encouraged you?." She grins.

I shrugged, "I didn't want to go but Ace begged me with his puppy dog eyes."

"But did you enjoy it?" She asks.

"Not much except for the food and music." I reply, "that was my first party ever."

"That's good at least you enjoyed it." She says with a warm smile, " At least my little cousin Ace didn't want you alone. "

"Hey, I won't be alone at home," I glared, "I could play with Chico."

June shook her head, "He's a bird not a human."

"He's my friend." I corrected her, "and really keeps me company."
