"What's wrong uncle?" When I arrived at the kitchen, I noticed my uncle looking down sadly as if I could feel worry of something troubling him, "Is there a problem?"

Uncle Alex looked up smiling sadly, "Nothings wrong, don't worry about it Lola." He pulled up the warmest smile he could pull to drive away that hurtful look on but I decided to leave it for a while. It might not be even that relevant at the moment and I don't even want to feel down.

I grabbed a bowl as filled it with breakfast cereal and milk. As I ate slowly, my uncle's expression is still dull, if I tried to ask him, he'll give the same answer. Then again I have plans I wanted to do and go along with, I decided to go out to explore for the moment. The moment I came along to New England, my full focus was on one of the natural coasts such as the beach but that was quite far but I also wanted to check out the forest and see what life could bring from there.

"Uncle Alex, is it alright if Chico and I go exploring the forest today?" I ask, "Not too far, just close to the house."

My uncle looked at me expressionless as though I just said he was given a doll for his birthday before pulling a small smile, "You want to go to the forest?"

"Yeah, I want to explore and have fun today, please."

He frowned, "The forest in New England is very large, you'll get yourself lost."

"We won't go far away." I gave him a pleading look as I pulled my cute kitten eyes on him, "We'll be safe, trust me."

"I trust you Lola but I'm just worried." He pulls a sad face as he places his hands on his knees.

I saddened seeing him like this but placed my hand on top of his, "Don't worry, we won't go too long or too far, we'll come back safe and sound."

"Alright you can go." My expression rises, "only at the distance where I know you would be close to the house and not too far. "

"Alright." I mumble but the problem is I won't be able to climb trees if he's keeping eye on me. No worries at least I can still go there.

After I finished eating my breakfast, I placed my dishes in the sink and rush upstairs to my room. I decided to take a bath today. Opening my wardrobe, I chose a dark green top with light green dots and black jeans and grabbed a towel. It's like an army uniform for soldiers who want to fight in the army. Also the green blends in with the colour of the forest.

I left my room and head to the bathroom. I let the water from the tap run whilst I pulled my clothes off and step into the bathtub. I let the hot water wash my skin from any dirt or sweat on.

After bath, I dried my body with a towel and put my clothes on. I walked back to my room to dry my hair for a little while as I pull a smile ono my face from the sight of the day and birds singing.

"Hey Chico, do you want to hang out in the forest with me?" I asked the little bird.

Chico squawked, "Yeah, yeah."

I punch my fist in the air in excitement. This is going to be our first time hanging in the forest. I lay on the bed for couple of minutes to let my hair dry.

Whilst I wait, I glance at my two picture frames. One with the picture of my Mom, Dad, me and Joey sitting on my shoulder and the other picture of me and James Parker when we were little. I could say I'm just happy people like them had a chance to be set free from their lives as they rest under the soils of the earth.

"Let's go." I say as I put my black coat with purple buttons on and my long black boots.

We both ran downstairs where Uncle Alex stood and opened the front door for me. I gave him a quick hug before I run outside and find the path to the forest. I know my uncle would be keeping his eye on me from the house.
