Kabanata 12

It's weekend and I literally shutdown my phone. No one's gonna talk to me right now. I need to study. Sa monday na ang midterms namin. 2 days lang naman lahat ng subject but heck, those 2 days will be the cause of my death.

I'm aiming for a high honor or even higher than that. No one can ever stop me.

"You ghosted us for two days, Alya!" Salubong sa akin ni Trisha.

"You know the drill." I winked at them.

"Penge sagot ha?"

"Oo naman. Share share."

Biruan namin 'yan before magtake ng exam pero hindi naman namin kailangan kopyahan. Kahit naman minsan barumbado mga 'yan, they know what to prioritized. We are all actually leading the top 10. Wala sa itsura namin 'no?

We are all graduating with honors, I'm claiming it.

After taking the exam, we planned to go to the pub. Meron pa kaming exam bukas pero kaya ko naman sumama nag advanced reading na ako. I can just reread it or just run through it later for a little recall. See? Those time na nagsusunog ako ng kilay, it's all worth it since I can still enjoy.

"Shux. Mas dumami tao ngayon. Buti nakaclose ko may ari, I reserved our table!" excited na sabi ni Iza. "Let's have a drink tomorrow after our exam?"

"GGG!!"

Raden is not here yet. Actually, kanina ko pa siya hinahanap. I wasn't able to talk to him for two days. Ngayon ko palang chinecheck ang message niya sa akin. He's just updating me kung ano ginagawa at kung na saan siya but that's all. His last chat was just a good morning and a good luck.

"Nasaan si Rad?" I asked Dom.

"Sunod na lang daw siya. Pinaiwan kasi ng adviser namin. Kinukulit."

"Kinukulit saan?" I asked again!

"Eh di ba? May Mr. & Ms.? Siya ang gusto. Ayaw ng loko," tatawa tawang sagot ni Dom. Palagay ko ba siya ang nag suggest kay Rad.

"Oh bakit hindi na lang ikaw Dominic?" si Iza.

"Eh kasi po, nagtitle na ko last year. Ako lang 'to."

"Ibang pageant naman 'yon!"

"Kahit na! Pangit naman 'non pag ako ulit di ba?"

"Mas pangit ka naman."

"Aba? Lalo ka na!"

Parang ang late naman namin maghanap ng representative? I already mentioned it to our class.  We have our set of plans for it pero ang kulang na lang ang magrerepresent sa amin. Pero kahit sino naman, I'm confident na we are all qualified and has a chance to win this pageant.

"Oh ayan na pala." 

Napatingin ako sa turo ni Vin.

It was Raden pero may kasama siya. Mga kaklase ata. Inayos ko ang salamin ko para maaninag ko pa sila. Damn this vision.

"Pre? Dami chix ha? Penge!"

Medyo inaninag ko pa kung sino ang mga kasamahan niya. Buti na lang lumapit naman sila sa amin. He's already looking at me but I spotted Mel beside him so I wave at her. Ayoko naman maging rude kahit na parang gustong gusto na kumunot ng noo ko.

"Hi Alya! And the gang!" She cheerfully said.

"I can't join for now. I'll just have a meeting with them. I'll be back later," he said while directly looking at me.

I raised my brows and nod. I don't need to say anything naman di ba? But why do I'm feeling bitterness at the back of my tongue?

"Mukhang napapayag ng mga 'yon si Rad ha?" Tatawa tawang sabi ni Vin.
