And now, I'm being chased

***Madison***

"Alright class, make sure to check the bulletin board for any announcements and what not. Clubs are currently still setting up so it'll be awhile before any clubs are ready for new members. I hope you all have a delicious lunch. Class is dismissed."

Finally...well that sucks that clubs are still setting up.

I can live with it though, it'll come back, we just need the patience for it.

As the students slowly rolled out of the class, I knew that there was no way I was going to have lunch with actual real life people that would even be friends with me, let alone be them girls.

So I decided to stay in the classroom and skip lunch. Maybe just work on the given maths equation sheet papers, whatever you call them. Assignment or whatever.

Sighing, I ran my fingers through my hair.

This has been kind of crappy.

Just as I was about to get started on my maths, someone came into the classroom.

"Hey Mad, why aren't you eating? Already had lunch?" a familiar voice questioned.

Looking up, Sebastian was standing above me, smiling that sheepish smile of his.

I blushed and nodded in response.

Seb gives me the chills, I can't deny that.

"You're nodding as in 'Yeah, I've actually had my lunch already.' or you're nodding as in 'get the hell out of here, I'm going through PMS right now." Seb inquired as he wiggled his eyebrows playfully.

"Seb! Do you even know what that means?!" I punched him lightly on the shoulder and blushed, embarrassed by his attempt to understand what I meant when I nodded.

"Seriously! Have you eaten or not. If you haven't, come on! Let's go eat."

I took some time to think about it because I actually need time to think when it came to food.

Hah! Yeah I know, I'm being so awkward and hesitant around Seb right now.

"Yeah...okay. Let's go eat." I replied with a shrug.

"Great!" He looped his arm around my arm and skipped happily to the cafeteria.

Laughing, I wondered silently if maybe, just maybe, Seb liked me...even just a little bit.

It's that feeling you get when someone you like acts all happy around you. It's those questions you get when someone acts as though they might want to be more than friends. It's all those unanswered questions you get when they're indirect.

We fell into a deep and comfortable silence as we made our way to food's home.

The silence stretched as people saw me and Seb's looping arms.

Secretly, I liked that our arms were looped together. I liked that I was going to eat with someone that wouldn't judge me for who I was. Secretly, I wanted it to last and that our arms would be looped for a little while longer.

But sadly, I didn't get what I wanted secretly.

Sebastian tore gently away from me, and our arms were no longer looped together.

What was I expecting really? Did I actually expect Seb to willingly just keep our arms looped and connected? Why yes, I did...but obviously it didn't work out the way I wanted it to. Regret flooded me as he tore away and made his way over to a table packed with jocks and cheerleaders.

He walked over to them and gave the guys fist bumps and the girls a high-five.

Seb pointed a finger in my direction and urged me to come and join them.

I was sweating bullets as I headed towards them.

Standing before the long wide table of jocks and cheerleaders, I chickened out and didn't move another step forward.

The bench layed before me, one empty spot revealed before me.

I assumed they wanted me to sit with them, but I didn't know what to do.

My legs didn't move and my hands clenched in and out every second.

I was rooted to the spot like an idiot in front of those jocks and cheerleaders...in front of Sebastian.

"Hey chicken, do you want to sit or not?! Too scared to join us cool kids?" a cheerleader from the pack, taunted and teased.

Turning to face her, a spur of anger built up inside me. Oh how much I wanted to punch her was incomprehensible.

"Yeah...thanks for inviting me...I'll just be going now." I replied with a forced smile.

I backed away slowly but was stopped by the cheerleaders that were now surrounding me.

"You ain't going nowhere dork." the cheerleader that taunted me earlier said arrogantly.

"Please move out of the way, I really need to get back to class."

"We ain't going nowhere until you cry and beg for mercy, in order to save your dignity." she replied, hands on her hips.

Groaning, I shoved my way past them and walked away once more. I really didn't want to deal with them. It was a freaking stupid waste of my time to go with Seb for lunch. I should have just stayed in the classroom.

I turned back just so that I could get a glance on Seb. Unfortunately, I could not even get a glimpse of him because a hoard of cheerleaders were now chasing after me.

Is this how things go in this school. Freaking popular jocks or cheerleaders or whatever just come and chase you if you don't abide by their "rules"?!?!?!

What the heck?! And now, I'm being chased.

Oh my goodness....
