"Hi...co-worker."

***Madison***

"Okay, it's cool Mad, you're just gonna meet the coach, and tell him everything in all honesty. He's not going to give you a big scolding at all."

I was freaking the frack out.

Let me run you down on what's going on, I'm standing outside the gym waiting for my turn to go in and talk to coach.

Apparently he had some thing to discuss with me.

"Take a breath Mad, get your crap together, this is nothing." I said to myself in attempts of calming myself down...

Unfortunately, no fix for me.

"Madison Fiddle." Coach called, indicating that it was in fact my turn to talk to him.

Taking a deep breath, I entered the gym and plastered a smile on my face.

"What's up coach, why'd uh...why'd y-ya call?" I asked sheepishly.

Coach folded his arms and just looked at me.

He was clearly not amused.

"Um...you can say something...instead of just..looking at me." I mumbled, head bowed in fear.

"Miss Fiddle, why have you been absent these past few skateboarding lessons? Why have you been skipping? The skates championship is right around the corner, you know that don't you?" Coach finally said.

"Y-yes I know. But here's my reason, hear me out." I took another deep breath, "it's because of the paper. I'm sorry, but I thought I could handle both the paper and skateboarding. I do love both very much. But the paper had a lot of work to get done and the deadlines were near, I had to skip classes. I'm sorry." I finished. My lips stretched into a sheepish smile.

Coach stared at me with an eyebrow raised before speaking up. "Anything else you would like to tell me?"

"Uh...I don't...Ah yes! I think I need to quit."

"I see...." Coach said, headlines forming and a sigh escaping his lips.

"I understand Madison, it's okay. Just go ahead, it was nice to have a girl on the team for a bit. Just be sure to find someone to replace your position in the team. I'll be contacting your parents and telling them about your resignation."

"Wait what?" I said, my jaw hanging.

What did he just say? Parents? Contacting them?

A replacement is fine but he didn't need to call my parents just to tell them right?

"You don't have to call them right?" I asked, dreading the answer.

"They don't need to know. In fact, they didn't know I joined the club in the first place."

"Well, they're gonna find out when your report files and sent to them. Why not tell them sooner and now just to get it out of the way." Coach simply said in response.

This was a big deal.

Oh no!

I wanted to interject and somehow convince him to somehow not call my parents and tell them unnecessary information.

But alas, shy and hopeless Madison took over and all I said was "Oh...okay then...go ahead."

Damn, this is serious.

My parents can't know about this.

They just can't. They're gonna be so pissed off...

"Well, what are you still doing here? Move along now, get back to class." Coach pushed me out the doors and called out to the next person.

"Good luck." I whispered to the guy walking towards the door.

Nodding, the guy walks in slowly as if he needed to get used to the sensation of moving his legs.

Dreading the scolding he must be.

Well crap then, my parents or family still can't know that I joined the club.

But what the heck can I do?!

I'm basically screwed. No one and nothing can help me.

Ugh...

Suddenly, I hit something or someone that felt like a literal brick wall and fell to the ground.

"Oh, sorry. Here, let me help you." A deep and husky voice spoke.

I looked front, a hand appearing in my line of vision. Looking up, a guy was standing there, hand offered to help me up.

"No no, it's okay. No need to apologize, it was my fault. Sorry." I apologized, helping myself up.

"You're forgiven. What's your name? I'm James."

"James?" I repeat, shock coursing through every fibber in my body.

"Yes, that's my name. What's your's?" James asked again, an eyebrow raised in confusion.

Somehow, I couldn't muster words or talk to James.

I'm still shocked.

This is the James, the James who secretly loves my sister?

The James who forcefully kisses her?

I don't know if I should feel angry or nothing.

He did do all those things to Molly.

I continued to stare, wide eyes from the shock.

"What's wrong?" James said, pinning me to the wall, his arms on either side of my face. "Pretty girl here can't talk cause she's checking me out?" James leaned in, his lips inches away from my lips.

How dare this idiotic freaking douchebag dare to kiss me!

Pushing his face away, I kicked his shin and his stomach.

Instantly, he pulled away and fell to the ground. Hands gripping his stomach.

"You bitch! What the hell?!" James shouted, still on the ground.

"The name's Madison asshole. Don't ever try to kiss or touch me again." I warned, venom dripping in my tone as I walked away.

Who the heck does he think he is?!

Well, next stop is the newspaper room. Still got some extra work to do.

Turning the corner into the newspaper room, there I saw something my eyes were not prepared to see.

Joseph was seated on a chair in front of William and they seemed to be having a serious discussion.

"Oh hello Madison. Took you long enough. Meet your new co-worker, Joseph Evergreen." William explained, a smirk tugging at his lips.

"Hi...co-worker..."

No way.
