Chapter 20

Marie looked up from her painting and saw Axel still sitting on the couch across the room. He stopped reading and she took her headphones out. "Still here," he smiled softly. He frowned at her panicked face, "What’s wrong?"
"I don’t know, something just feels off," She whispered setting her brush down.
"I’ll contact everyone," he nodded. He pulled out his cell phone, pressed a button and put it on speaker. "Blackbourne."
"Owen," she gasped.
"What’s wrong Darling?" he asked concerned.
"I don’t know, I got a strange feeling in my stomach," she said honestly. "I was painting and listening to you play when all of sudden I got a shiver in my back, and something felt off then a weird feeling in my stomach. Are you almost done with your job?"
"I’m actually on my way back," he said softly. "Give me a second and I’ll call everyone." After a few minutes he said "Report."
"Coleman."
"Korba."
"Lee."
"Griffin."
"Taylor Sr."
"Taylor Jr."
"Morgan."
"Green."
"Everyone is fine Darling," Owen said and she sighed in relief.
"Okay, sorry for worrying you," She bit her lip.
"What’s going on Baby?" North asked.
"I got a weird feeling in my stomach, like dread and shiver in my back so I was worried, so Axel called Owen for me and he called you to check for me," she said softly.
"It’s better to be safe then sorry," Nathan said.
"I’m glad you checked Ten," Kota said.
"I don’t know about the others but I’m on my fucking way back," Gabe smirked. "I’ll see you soon."
"Wait, what about the rest of the Toma team?" She asked looking at Axel.
"I’ll check," he nodded. "Report," he said after doing something on his phone.
"Raven shooting."
"Marc and I’m in the kitchen making dinner," Marc said.
"Corey and I’m with Victor," Corey said.
"Brandon and I’m on my way back," Brandon said.
"Why?" Raven asked.
"I had a weird feeling in my stomach, so I wanted to make sure everyone is okay," Marie said softly.
"Doctor mode Pookie, tell me exactly everything," Sean said in serious tone.
"I was listening to Owen playing and painting then all of sudden I got a feeling like someone was watching me but not the comfy feeling, so I glanced up to see if Axel was watching and he was reading. A shiver went down my spine, so I fully looked up as a weird feeling happened in my stomach. Axel told me he was still on the couch in the art room with me then asked what was wrong so I told him something felt off so he called Owen for me and Owen called everyone else."
"Do you still feel like something is off?" She said yes, "Is it like an apprehensive dread like something is going to happen or like you’re about to get sick?"
"Both," she answered honestly. "I feel dizzy and nauseous now, it wasn’t like that a few minutes ago."
"Axel bring her in now, I’m clearing my appointments," Sean said. "I want to run some tests to see if she is possibly coming down with something but also we got more cameras while we’re waiting on ours to arrive for the house."
"Everyone meet at the hospital," Owen said. "Mr. Morgan and Mr. Henshaw, once you get there I want you to check the few cameras we do have for the house."
"Baby, go with Axel to see Doc, we’ll be there soon," North said and she could hear him start his car.
Axel hung up his phone and they left.
