Starting Over

Chapter 26

Feeling something prick her arm yet again Marie started screaming and trying to pull away. "Stop!" She yelled "Please stop" she sobbed.

"Stop Baby, we're trying to help you," North's voice filled her head. "Stop Baby please stop."

She stilled and opened her eyes to see a blurry North looming over her face. "North Star," She whispered as tears leaked down her face. "I miss you everyone so much."

"We're here Darling," Owen came by North. "We're here."
"Owen," She whispered drifting back to sleep.

North wiped the tears from her face and looked at Owen scared. "She will be okay Mr. Taylor," Owen whispered holding Marie's hand.
"Hope so," North whispered back.

Everyone gathered around her and just waited. An hour later she started sobbing and twitching as if she was trying to avoid being hit. They held her hands and touched her face or anywhere they could to try and calm her down. She stilled under their touch and told Sean when he came in to check on her.

"Sounds like she is having a flashback and thinking we are a dream," Sean said taking notes. He switched out the empty bag of medicine and replaced it with a new one. "How is her fever?" he asked touching her forehead.

"Feels like it has gone down some," Victor whispered as he stroked her face and hummed a tune to her.

"It has gone down a little but it is still high," Sean nodded writing down some more notes.

"My guys," she whispered as she whimpered and flinched as if someone had hit her. "No don't leave me." Tears started painting her face. "You promised you wouldn't leave me."

"We aren't Princess," Victor whispered wiping her tears. "We are right here."
"We aren't going anywhere Cupcake," Luke said holding her hand.
"Come on Trouble, you know we aren't going fucking anywhere," Gabe said trying to control his anxiety. "We are right here Peanut," Nathan whispered as he rubbed her feet.
"No don't leave me," She mumbled, "You lied? You don't love me?" She started sobbing and tried to curl up in a fetal position. "Don't love me."

"We do love you Baby more than anything," North said curling up behind her and pulling her to him gently. "We love you Baby."

"Don't listen to those lies Aggele Mou," Silas whispered stroking her face.

"We aren't leaving you Darling," Owen said kissing her forehead.

"Never ever Pookie," Sean said placing an ice chip on her lips to help them stay hydrated.

"You are stuck with us Ten," Kota said rubbing her legs gently.

"We are here also Marie," Axel said softly.

"We aren't leaving you either," Brandon and Corey said in sync.

"Da Kitten, we stay," Raven muttered.

"We are waiting on you to get better," Marc said softly.

"Oh Baby," North whispered rolling her over, so her face was in his chest. She whimpered in pain.
"Silas you two give best cuddles," Sean nodded, and Silas crawled in bed behind her. She soon calmed down engulfed in the smell of two of her men. Pretty soon everyone drifted off to sleep.

A couple hours later she sat up with a silent scream. She saw a bunch of tubes and wires sticking in and on her, so she ripped them out and got out of bed. Scared out of her mind on not knowing where she was, she rushed out the door and ran down the hall. She heard screaming so she tried to run faster. She tripped and fell. As she tried to get up someone grabbed her.

"Let me go!" She screamed and tried to get free.

"STOP BABY!" North yelled turning her to face him. He fell to his knees and grabbed her face, "Look at me Baby, it's your North Star. Look at me," North said softly, "I got you."

"No, my North Star left me," she sobbed trying to break free. "You're not him, let me go!" North pulled her to him and took the opportunity of her gasp to kiss her. She froze so he kept kissing her.

After a few seconds which seemed like years to him she started to melt into him and copy his moves. He pulled away and wiped her tears, "We will never leave you Baby," he whispered, "It wasn't real."

"It felt so real," She sobbed into his neck as she clung to him with everything in her.

"I'm so sorry Baby," he whispered as he rubbed her back.

"Oh, thank fucking god you found her," Gabe sighed as the rest of the group surrounded her.

"Is she okay?" Owen asked as Sean rushed over and plopped down next to them.

"What happened? I just got a page she was in the hallway crying."

"What happened? I was doing my rounds and checking on my other patients and just got a page she was in the hallway crying."

"She was hallucinating again," Sean whispered, "Take her back to her room North, she ripped her IVs out so now she's bleeding, and I have to reinsert them."

"No Sean, they itch and hurt," she cried. "I don't want them."

"I'm sorry Pookie but you have to have them, they have antibiotics to help you fight sepsis," Sean said as they walked back to her room.

"I'm fine, I don't want them," she cried, "They hurt my arms."

"Ok Pookie, I won't put them in right now, but I will have to soon," Sean said as Nathan sat on her bed and North helped her cuddle with Nathan. "Take this Pookie," Sean said giving her a cup of liquid, "it will help with your pain."

"Owen," She whispered, and Owen nodded. He pulled out his phone and pretty soon a recording of him and Victor playing the piano and violin together started playing. She smiled and soon drifted off to sleep. Once she was in a deep sleep Sean reinserted her IV's and reattached the wires for all the machines she needed to have on.
