"DOC!" Gabe shouted as he rushed into the hall.

"What Gabe?" Sean asked rushing to him.

"She's fucking shaking and sweating and her arms are fucking red and swollen and have fucking bumps all over them."

"Shit," Sean gasped coming into the room. He rushed over to her and paged some nurses, they rushed her out of the room talking to one another in medical terms that they didn't understand. About an hour later Sean came back in different scrubs. "She developed another infection and had an allergic reaction to the cannulas so we have switched to metal cannulas and inserted them in the top of her hands. She absolutely has to keep her hands still so they can work. In order to do that I have given her a sedative to make her sleep through the night. I may have to put her in coma if she starts hallucinating again or her body starts overworking again."

"Would it be best to just go ahead and put her in coma?" Kota asked and Sean shook his head.
"I get where you are coming from but there are also risks with having her in a medically induced coma that I don't want to take," Sean explained. "I can't test her mind to make sure she isn't losing functions or memories or things like that if she is in a coma for example. I really would rather us try to keep her calm and relaxed then put her in coma."

"Okay," Owen nodded. "We will try our best."

The next morning she started to wake and whimper in pain. "Be still Cupcake," Luke said holding one hand and North held the other hand. "You need to be still so you can get better."

"Make it stop, Always," she whimpered. "Hurt."

"I know Baby but you need to be still," North whispered.

"Wanna go home North Star," Marie cried.

"I know Darling but you have to stay here and be still so you can get better," Owen whispered as he pushed her hair out of her face.

"I wanna go home Owen," She sobbed, "I hurt."
"I know Darling but the sooner you be still and let the medicine work the sooner you can go home, okay?" He asked and she shook her head. "I know you don't like it Darling, but can you try, and I will talk to Dr. Green about treating you at home, okay? Can you be a good girl and try?"

"Promise?" She asked squeezing North and Luke's hands to try and be still.

"Promise promise," Owen said softly.

"I'll try Owen, I wanna go home," Marie whispered as tears leaked down her face.

"Good girl," Owen gave her his millimeter smile. "If you can leave your IVs alone for a whole day then I will talk to Sean and see what we can do about getting you home and keep treating you there."

"Okay Owen," She mumbled. "I'm sleepy but it hurts too much," she pouted and whimpered.

"I'll go talk to Doc about getting you some more pain relief Doll," Axel said standing.
"Axel," she gasped. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine Doll, we need to get you better," Axel said patting her leg then leave to find Sean.

"Is he really okay?" She asked North and he nodded.

"Da Kitten Axel fine," Raven said rubbing her feet. "We get you good."

"We will try and get her better, Raven, better," Corey said shaking his head.

"Glad he's okay," she mumbled.

"Here we go Pookie, this will help you feel better and get some sleep," Sean said sticking something in her IV. "Would you like Silas to lay with you?"

"Where is my Superman?" she asked starting to cry when she couldn't see him.

"I'm right here Aggele Mou," Silas said coming into the room. "I went to meet Gabe downstairs, he ordered you a new blanket so we didn't have to go all the way to the house to get one of yours. Gabe went to get us some night stuff so we can stay here with you tonight."

"He's the best," she smiled as Luke opened the package and pulled out a soft Nightmare Before Christmas blanket and some purple fuzzy socks.

"I know I am," Gabe smiled coming into the room with arms full of bags. Everyone took turns getting ready and then Sean and North helped Silas get into Marie's bed. "Now sit up Trouble so I can braid your fucking hair. Tomorrow I will wash it for you."

"Okay Meanie," She whispered as he braided her hair. Victor helped her lay back down and cuddle into Silas. She sighed in happiness and Corey set up the TV so they could watch Tim Burton's Batman series.

She soon drifted off to sleep and Nathan smiled softly, "Does this mean she's getting better since she's lucid Doc?"

"It's too soon to tell but it is a good possibility," Sean whispered back as they all watched her sleep clutching Silas' shirt.

"Can we really treat her at the house?" Marc asked.

"Once she gets well enough yes but we have to get rid of this sepsis and it will be awhile before that happens," Sean nodded. "She improved greatly just these past couple hours, hopefully she will continue to do so. Tomorrow could tell us a lot on how she is doing."

"So she's been improving since we convinced her the hallucination was false and we aren't going to leave her?" North asked.

"The mind affects the body," Kota nodded. "If she took comfort in the fact that we are there then that can give her comfort instead of stressing on what is going on right now which can help the body heal."
