Starting Over

Chapter 9

They soon fell into a routine where Marie was never left alone and there was always at least two of them with her. Her nightmares began to lessen, and her panic attacks slowly started to lessen whenever any of them had to leave for assignments. It helped that they sent frequent texts when they could.

She started to feel less tense and more at home over time. Today she felt like going to the store and getting stuff to bake some sweets. Maybe she could do it with only one of them since she knew most were gone.

"Kota, I want to go to the store please," she said softly knocking on his door.

"Sure 10, its just us so do you want to wait until someone else gets home?" he said saving his work and shutting his laptop.

"No, I want to make something for dessert, so I need the stuff before everyone gets home," she said shaking her head. "We can go now if you are ready."

"Ok, then lets go Ten," He smiled. "Go get your shoes and well head out." When she took off down the hallway, he pulled out his phone and sent a message to Owen so he knew what was happening.

At the store he smiled softly as she looked over all the sprinkles and chocolate chips. "Just get all three that you are looking at, Ten," Kota smirked as her eyes lit up.

"Really? Are you sure its okay?" She asked softly.

"Of course it is Pookie, you never know when you will need it in the future so its better to go ahead and get it now," Sean smiled walking up to them. "What if the store is out next time you need it? It would be horrible!" Marie giggled softly and Kota took it out of her hands to put in the cart. "What are you planning on making?"

"Apple pie just for you and NorthStar, and some rainbow chip cookies, and some sort of cheesecake that I havent decided on yet," Marie smiled softly as Sean spun her around.

"Sounds yummy Princess," Victor smiled coming over to them.

"My Prince!" She squealed, "I thought you had a concert tonight."

"It got cancelled, theres a storm coming this way," Victor smiled softly.

Marie paled and North took her out of Seans arms. "Itll be okay Baby."

"North Star?" she asked softly as he rubbed her back.

"Yes Baby, Im here. We know you dont like storms, so lets finish getting our stuff and I think Gabe said were having a sleepover tonight."

"Really?" She asked looking into his eyes and he nodded. Just then her phone went off and she took it out of her hoodie pocket. Glancing at the text message she tensed. "North Star I dont feel good" she mumbled as she started to shake.

"Baby? Whats wrong?" he asked pulling her into him even more. "Someone take her phone and the cart. Im taking her home, you can buy her stuff and meet us there. Breathe for me Baby, were going home," he rubbed her back and started to leave the store. "Get ahold of Blackbourne also. Theres only one reason for her to be like this."

An hour later everyone was back at the Blackbourne mansion, "Dr. Green how is our girl?" Owen asked as Sean came out of Norths room.

"She is sleeping now. The upcoming storm and whatever was on the phone really set her off, thankfully North was able to keep her mostly grounded when they got home. She wont let him go even in her sleep. He said once she is in a deep sleep he will bring her in here so we can have a full meeting. He should be in here shortly."

"Were right here," he whispered coming into the room. "Just keep youre voices down, she needs to sleep through this storm and this crap as much as possible."

"What was on the fucking phone Kota?" Gabriel asked.

"My Dearest Lovely Marie, you can try and hide all you want but it just makes the chase that much sweeter. I will find you and when I do, I will remind you that you are mine. I cant wait to have you blooming underneath me once more," Kota said through gritted teeth.

"Im going to kill him," North said through clenched teeth. Silas put his hand on his shoulder and nodded in agreement.

"Have you been able to find anything Mr. Lee and Mr. Morgan?" Owen asked clenching his fists.

Thunder shook the windows and Marie whimpered in her sleep. North tightened his grip and kissed her forehead. She smiled softly and they smiled at her.

"Hes trying to bounce the locations off various towers but I have a program tracing it," Victor said softly. "I can contact Corey and ask for his help if need be."

"Do it," Owen mumbled, "Ill contact Mr. Toma and explain everything." He took out his phone and stepped out of the room.

"Hand her to me," Nathan whispered. "I need to hold her."

North grumbled but put her in his lap.

"When this fucker is found-" Gabriel started to say.

"Mr. Toma and Mr. Henshaw are having a hard time calming down Mr. Ravenstahl but the Toma team has agreed to help us with no favors other than they would like some time with the person once he is caught. Mr. Ravenstahl has said that it will be his pleasure to show him what a professional Russian does," Owen said coming back into the room.

"This fucker is in for it once we catch him," Gabriel glared while he played with Marie's hair.
