Chapter 30

"Come with me please," Owen said once Marie came down in the morning. She tensed for a second then nodded. "Thank you," he whispered into her ear after he pulled her into a hug. She froze for a minute but then relaxed into his hold.

He took ahold of her hand and led her into the dining room. North put her breakfast in front of her and kissed the top of her head. She smiled then started eating slowly. Owen scooted closer to her and placed his hand on her thigh. He squeezed it softly and she barely smiled. "Time for your medicine," Owen said after she finished eating. Kota handed him the bottles and he got out her medicine. He handed it to her, and she took it without complaint. "Such a good girl," Owen gave her his special smile just for her and she smiled up at him. "After breakfast would you like to run some errands with me?"

"Really?" She asked shocked and he nodded. "Okay," she smiled softly.

"Shoot, medicine Baby," North said rushing into the kitchen.

"She already took it Mr. Taylor," Owen said shaking his head softly.

"She did?" North asked and Owen nodded.

"No complaints either," Owen said drinking his tea.

"That's great Baby," North smiled and kissed her forehead. "I'm so proud of you, Baby."

"Thank you," Marie smiled softly as she placed her fork on her plate. North took it from her and Owen patted her leg.

"Go get ready, Darling" Owen said as he took a drink.

She looked at him shocked then smiled and rushed up the stairs. She entered her room and saw Gabe sitting on her bed on his phone. "Hey Trouble."

"Hi Meanie," she blushed slightly. "Owen wants me to go with him somewhere."

"Then let's get you all dolled up," he smiled softly.

"Thank you Meanie," She whispered as she hugged him.

She came back downstairs wearing black pants and a grey top and grey converse. She had smokey eye make up on and nude lip gloss. "Ready to go Darling?" Owen asked and she nodded then beamed when he took her hand in his.

They went to a book store where he got her two new books, then they pulled up to a studio. "This was supposed to be a surprise, but I can't wait anymore, come on Darling." Owen said opening the door for her. She looked at him surprised but placed her hand in his and followed him inside.

They went to an office and a man met them a few minutes later. "Here you go Mr. Blackbourne, if you need anything else, let me know."

"Will do," Owen said shaking his hand and placed the package in Marie's hand. "Come on." She nodded and followed him back to the car. He buckled her in then got in and started the car. He took her to a park and held the swing still as she climbed in. He gently pushed her for a bit, giving his millimeter smile when she would giggle. "Come on Darling, I'm breaking my no dessert before dinner rule, this one time." He said walking her to the ice cream shop across the street. He held her hand tightly. She beamed and clutched his hand tightly when the server tried talking to her. Owen answered for her and she was excited when he remembered her favorite kind of ice cream.

"Thank you, Sir," she whispered when they sat in a booth.

"Of course, Darling," he said placing a napkin in front of her. "I wanted to apologize about last night Darling," Owen fixed his tie, "I never meant to hurt your feelings when I was trying to get you to take your medicine."

"I'm sorry I wasn't listening either," she said looking at her hands.

"I forgave you the moment you started crying Darling," Owen took her hand in his. "I know this has been very hard on you Darling, we have been through so much, I shouldn't have pushed like that."

"I forgave you last night Owen," She whispered. "I was so scared though."

"I'm sorry Darling, I never want you to worry about us leaving you. I meant it when I grounded you forever and I still do." She burst out laughing and he gave her his special smile. "There's our girl." She smiled and moved to kiss his cheek but he turned at the last minute causing her to kiss him on the lips. He deepened the kiss causing her to moan softly, before it could get any more passionate he pulled away and kissed her gently when she pouted. "Eat your ice cream Darling, we don't want it to melt do we?" She shook her head and he squeezed her thigh. Once they were done he led her back to his car. "Open the package Darling." She tilted her head in confusion then opened the package from the studio. She gasped and squealed in excitement when she saw it was a cd of his music. "Mr. Morgan's songs that he was playing that day is on there as well. You have the only copy."

"Oh Owen, it's perfect," she whispered as she traced the name of the CD with her fingertips, Darling Princess  "Thank you."

"You'rewelcome Darling," Owen said kissing her intertwined fingers with his. "Time tohead back." She nodded and laid her head on his shoulder.
