Starting Over

Chapter 14

"NORTH!" She screamed and he darted out the door to find someone trying to drag her away while she was kicking and trying to fight back. Raven and North tackled the guy while Axel redlined the Blackbourne team and Corey grabbed her into his arms then carried her back into the mansion with the help of Marc and Brandon as protection.

"Where is she?" Sean and Owen burst into the door ten minutes later and asked in sync.

"How the hell did someone get onto the property?" Owen bellowed.

"Shes in Norths room with him and I dont know," Axel explained. "He wont let us in there, I think he blames himself for letting her go out in the first place."

They took off to Norths room and froze hearing her talk, "Its not your fault North Star, we thought I was safe in the garden, and you came when I was able to scream. Thats all that matters. You came for me when I needed you."

"But I should have gone out with you Baby," he growled.

"Then you would have been hurt also with whatever he gave me and wouldnt have been able to save me," Marie said softly. "The Toma team wouldnt have known it was too much time for me not to check in and theres no telling what would have happened then. You caught the guy, my North Star."

"Indeed," Owen said coming in. "How are you Darling and what happened?"

"I feel like theres an elephant on me," Marie sighed cuddling back into North. "North Star was putting food up for me while I went outside to paint for a little bit. I called out to him when I first started painting and then I felt a sharp pain in my neck. I went to go touch it and they grabbed my wrists. I fell to throw them off balance and when they fell, they let go so I tried to take off running but everything was spinning and tilting. I fell and tried to crawl away. They grabbed my legs and I managed to scream for North Star. Next thing I know, him and Raven were on the ground with the guy and Corey picked me up. I told him everything was spinning so he told me to close my eyes and brought me inside. He asked where I wanted to go so, I told him to put me here. As soon as he sat me on the bed, I told him I was going to be sick so he handed me the trash can and I threw up. Marc and Brandon helped me to the bathroom to clean my mouth and then helped me lay down. By that time North Star was coming in and he told them he would watch me while they waited for you to come back."

By the time she was done talking the rest of the Blackbourne team was in the room and Sean went to get the trash can so he could try and run some test to see what was in her system. He also took her blood. Raven and Corey entered and sighed, "He was paid to get her and take her to a location. He refused to say how he got on land." He handed Owen the phone and Victor took it to see what he could find with Coreys help.

"Kitten okay?" Raven asked looking like he was about to kill someone.

"She will be," North growled. "Thanks Crow."

"Da South," Raven nodded and left.

"Did that really just happen?" Luke asked and Silas smacked him upside the head.

"So, living room sleepover tonight?" Gabriel asked and everyone nodded in agreement.
